Special for teapots, remember that GOAT and Best are two different definitions:
-The GOAT is looking toward team accomplishments and amount of MVPs. A player does not have to be a top 1 player, the GOAT can be a top 5-3 player, maximum top 2. And he must to be a Major champion. (device, f0rest, fallen)
-The Best is looking toward only individual skill and No.1 rank in the list of the best players. Here you must already be top 1, the major title is not required. (s1mple, ZywOo)
And what about those who are both top 1 and have a major title. Then, heh, everything is clear, it's just a legend (Get -Right, olofmeister, coldzera).
If you are not going to understand this, this are already your problems. Elementary things should be clear.

Dev1ce is already a Legend imo,
ZywOo need few more years (2-3) at top while winning major, his skill sealing and his teamplay is better than any player who ever touch the game, then he could became The GOAT(and a Legend by the same way), s1mple should play more as a team and being less selfish and arrogant then he can become successful again (cause he is top 2 no bait)

f0rest was already elite, established pro before Get_right even got into those teams and became a pro. HIs level laster longer in CSGO at a high level. There no argument to be had really. f0rest has played at the highest level for longer than anyone and it's not even close.
Not a NiKo fan but i think hes a contender because he mainly rifles and doesnt use awp as much as device, s0mple, zywoo.
Edit: a big downside is he has no majors and top 1's

You can cry a river, but straight facts are said - as long as Astralis is a candidate for a greatest team ever - dev1ce is not the greatest player ever candidate.
s1mple will be memorable for ability to carry 1 vs 9 or 2 vs 10, as one of the strongest and individually (mechanicly) skilled player, no matter what team he is playing in and no matter what weapon he is playing with - from knife and pistol to awp.
Dev1ce is just skilled Astralis' awp-er, getting along with the rest of the stars. Astralis might be worse without him, but dev1ce would never achieved a thing without Astralis.

The Individual skill is the main priority of each HLTV's top-20. That's why device wasn't top-1 in 2018.
But Astralis were top-1 team in 2018, 2019, and 2020, and this is the most important.

This is the main thing that a lot of kids care only about K/D, 2.0, and Top-20. They think if a player plays 1x9, then this is a "real CS", not understanding that CS is a team game first of all, where team accomplishments are the most important and prestige. Take the same Navi who are associated only with s1mple, and not with the team as in 2010. If the game is a team, then each team should be remembered as a team, where people will talk about all the players in this team, not only one.
