Pros:
- In Stockholm, the CS capital of the world
- Sick arena
- 2 million dollar price money, biggest Major yet
- Probably the first LAN with a crowd
- Richard Lewis will likely be the host
- First Major with the RMR qualifier system
- PGL Krakow was a pretty good Major
- OG has a good chance of winning
- Astralis will get boo'd by the Swedish crowd
Cons:
- Stockholm is a crime city
- Major will get cancelled because of COVID
I mean it technically is the same as in dotas TI's
they just dont directly highten the pool as the prob dont trust cs earnings to be as consistend (as of right now)
TLDR: cs major teams are paid just as much in proportion they but valve doent have to promise them the amount beforehand
this is why so many orgs drop in and of of cs around rather or not there rosters can qualify for the major or not
Because crowds in different places are known to be bad or good. For example Australian and Poland crowds are known to be the most hyped, while USA crowd is known to be shit and shouting USA USA all the time. Stockholm is a pretty neutral city so I guess we will get a nice hyped up crowd.
GeT_RiGhT is probably going to be the ambassador since hes on the PGL podcast now so you can expect him there during the opening ceremony, bringing the trophy out and even on the desk
Nah i dont reckon that will happen, he isn't that much of a social butterfly still so i expect him to be on the desk because he can probably be a good analyst
I don't think OG has a chance to win a major. Maybe top2, but victory? I don't think so.
International teams never won a major. Just a fact.
But if they really do it, i will be very happy.
Udp: "-Stockholm is a crime city".
What? Really?
- PGL Krakow was a pretty good Major
:D:D:D:D::D:D:D:D:D pgl krakow major was worst major production(1hour issue delay after every match + teams in final (gambit immortals LMAO :D )
EVERYONE (proplayers / creep ppl) KNOWS THE BEST MAJOR PRODUCTION WAS - Eleague!
Eleague (and newer ESL) Majors were definitely better but at least Krakow still had great playoffs despite the group stage being shite. Pretty sure they were also one of the first to start streaming in Full HD
- In Stockholm, the CS capital of the world
=> Katowice & Cologne >>>>>>> StockLULm
- PGL Krakow was a pretty good Major
=> Mehhh it was okay, it had way too many upsets but i guess thats not the TOs fault
- OG has a good chance of winning
=> xd
- Astralis will get boo'd by the Swedish crowd
=> xd²
No covid restricitons so should be full arena.
Expensive everything.
No swedish teams gona be in playoffs so arena gona be like library
2 million dollors from 2 skiped majors so wheres 3rd one? Valve saving cash for them selfs cuz they dont give a fuck about it.
Cons:
- Stockholm is a crime city - Yea but you would have to go to the really bad areas late at night. Someone might ask you to buy some weed or something... Globen is very central and in the very nice and beutiful parts of Stockholm. If you're going like me, youd miss out on not going to places like Skeppsholmen or Gamla stan.
- Major will get cancelled because of COVID
maybe. But we have vaccination already undergoing. vaccinated our king a week ago. and the culture in sweden is very different towards other countries where you have 3m social distancing even before covid. And people are taking it seriously.
