2021-01-20 12:35
I hated online university back in spring, but this semester I loved it
2021-01-20 12:36
i dont have to travel to sit in school for 7 hours, so very good
2021-01-20 12:37
High school very bad, University very nice
2021-01-20 12:38

2021-01-20 12:38
Not the same as normal, low focus and less care ig. But still the best way rn, hopefully soon better.
2021-01-20 12:38
Good, easy to lift grades on stuff I dont like :D
2021-01-20 12:38
Well for me, there is no difference between online-schooling and no schooling at all.
2021-01-20 12:43
It's nice. You don't have to wake up early and take the bus to school, you don't have to shower or wash your hair etc.
2021-01-20 12:44
Online schooling sucks, you cannot make online shootings.
2021-01-20 12:47
It's dependent on the style of learning / country etc.
Some classes simply don't work well online. Take ESL (English as a second language) for example. A lot of that is based around games/activities to help students learn. It's difficult to transfer that style of classroom management onto a zoom call. Things like group/pair speaking activities become difficult for a teacher to manage when there's 20 people in one call.
Compare that with a Physics class in typical Europe. The teacher is sat at the front, writing loads of stuff on the whiteboard for you to copy down. Maybe you get a couple of worksheets to complete or a practical experiment. I don't see too much difficulty from a content perspective transferring this to online. The teacher just needs to speak and students listen, then they can go to a link with some questions. Boring, but isn't that just what it's like normally?
That's talking content/learning, obviously not considering how it is for a student not seeing their friends, which sucks. It's more difficult for both the teacher and students, but I'm not really following the teachers complaining that it's 'so hard / impossible'.
If we're talking University, I'm seeing less of a problem. I graduated just 2 years ago, everyone goes into the lecture with their laptop and either sits and listens, or browses facebook on it. What's the difference if you're doing this from your room? The problem is seminars/workshops (places you go to speak about stuff). I've managed 22 kids in an online class, can't be too diffcult to manage 8-10 adults.
From a student perspective, it sucks that your best years / important education years are being fucked. School should be a time to go make friends, uni should be a time to become an adult. But if I were you, I wouldn't go around complaining. There's people out there whose lives have been destroyed a lot more than you having to stay at home and learn from a computer. Just attend the class, work hard for that 1 hour and you'll get the good marks. Everyone else is gaming in the background or bitching that its so bad (at least from what I see on the news / these forums =D )

really hard to motivate yourself, alot of issues with books, online services... but mostly its you tend to not really do anything except sitting in your chair all day.
2021-01-20 14:09
1st semester was a shitshow with 19 unfinished assignments. 2nd semester is going pretty well
2021-01-20 14:10
just had a lesson for 15 min, how to create a graph in excel. nice
waste of time, but most of regular school is too. they require you to be online all the time and you don't know if they check if you are there. sometimes you don't even know if they want to start a video-conference or not
2021-01-20 14:15
I purposely overslept by 4 hours today and missed half of my classes
2021-01-20 14:16
lmao I've read "online schoolshooting"
2021-01-20 14:19
the biggest advantage is that if your lesson starts at 8am, u just need to get up at 7:59
2021-01-20 14:20
No schoolshootings at least
2021-01-20 14:22
sucks, i can't talk to my friends at school at all.
2021-01-20 14:22
Better than lan school, first of all gives you more freedom
2021-01-20 14:26
useless, I can't focus on the online courses
my focus is on BLAST
2021-01-20 14:27
Better than default school. This is 2021, I don't wanna waste a lot of time for studying shit which I can read free in internet.
2021-01-20 14:28
Really nice for university imo
Lectures are recorded and can be rewatched if you didn't understand something, which also makes the scheduling more flexible.
2021-01-20 14:37
Sucks to be online school lol, finland can controll covid good LOL
2021-01-20 14:43
works for me rn in high school, although we are going to school rn, the students who dont care bout school can do whatever they want but wont ruin anything for me when its online schooling
2021-01-20 14:44
I hate school so it's better.
2021-01-20 14:44
Useless except programming class
2021-01-20 14:45
We goes to school... 15 go to school other online one week and then inversely.
The government of the state is stupid that after the reduction of patients, they immediately open everything and again when it comes to growth, it will be old ...
2021-01-20 14:56
I hate it, my grades worsen the longer it goes on.
2021-01-20 15:05
better than being close in a school with thousands of kids that dont wear masks outside the school and dont give a fuck about the consequences, kids act like if the possibly of getting the virus and dying is better than failing a school year lol
2021-01-20 15:12
its easier imo. They record and upload the lectures, so you can just skip the lectures and watch them at 1.5x speed later and save time
2021-01-20 17:14
except for topics involving math, its kinda ok, you can record the classes, cheat on tests and play during boring classes
