what do u think about I5 10400 + gtx 1650 4gd6 + 16 ram ? My friend wanna to play cs on 144 hz monitor
2021-01-20 15:14
Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
someone can say about ryzen 5 3600 but i think we can save some money if play only cs

Yeah but if you take 1200 socket you have room for more substantial improvements since the next intel gen is also 1200 based
2021-01-20 15:17
bro you can find 10600k on aliexpress for just about same money you would pay for official 10400. But if you ask me 10400 is more than enough

More than half of the worlds silicon is produced in Taiwan by TSMC. Mainland has nothing of note besides maybe some small portion of Samsung or intel production. I could look it up but I don’t rly want to tbh.

intol cero i5 1k600 boost 7.5 ghz - $12
2021-01-20 15:19
but wouldn't he need to buy a Z490 and a good cooler too? it's meant to be a budget pc
2021-01-20 15:21

z490 isn't that pricy but ofc it costs more than b460. i would go for this build instead since it's more versatile

nvm i5 10600k boost is 500MHz higher, maybe it's worth, but dunno, AliExpress is not exactly a bad place, it just takes a long time for your product to arrive and there's also warranty

but 10600k could be overclocked while 10400 is locked to its default frequency which isn't great when you think of game scenarios where single-core performance matters
2021-01-20 15:30
1 reply
im aware about that, but overclocking also relies on the cooling capacity and the motherboard chipset, which will cost him more

dont buy computer parts from ali express. Ever. fullstop. Ali express is for dodgy cheap stuff, not for computer parts.

Legit an i3 and an old $50 gpu would be more than enough for 144hz

+1 this gens i3, the 10100f, gets 200fps+
2021-01-20 15:21
That was right some 2 years ago, even integrated graphics was enough. Nowdays after many bells and whistles were added you need atleast RX560 wich is about 100-120$ new now.
2021-01-20 15:52
1. 10400f. 2. You can, just good build for CS, for other games you need better GPU. Don't try it with Ryzen, more problems only.

Get 1660 super instead of gtx 1650 if you get a good price. Or even 1650 super. 1650 is a shitty card

3100 B450 Tomahawk Used 1080/2070 Cheap everything else. 8 or 16gb (depending on how much you’ll use ram) of 3600 from crucial The specific components mentioned here should be around 450$ if you look in the right places. Another 200$ or so should get the rest of the system. At 600$ this would be a pretty sick pc tbh.

why would he buy strong gpu and weak cpu for cs ( literally only cpu matters ) please just don't talk if you are clueless
2021-01-20 15:56
3 replies
Because 3100 has better cs performance than 10400? Ryzen has been above intel in cs since 3000 launch buddy. GPU second hand market is ridiculous so you can get a 2070 used for the same price as a new 1650, and why not if it costs the same. So, in your own words, please don’t talk if you are clueless.

>Because 3100 has better cs performance than 10400 Totally made that up , 3100 performs same as ryzen 5 2600 ( both are shit ) and both worse than 10400 btw The cpu that really performs better than 10400 is ryzen 3 3300x ( I have it ) I say this coz I had ryzen 5 2600 and cs wasn't playable on 144hz with shitty fps , and ryzen 3 3100 performs same ( which is shit ) Site is intel's shill but it has accurate fps results in my experience cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core.. Again , you are obviously clueless gold nova playing cs on 150 fps thinking that's playable
2021-01-20 16:13
1 reply
It doesn’t perform the same. It clocks higher with better IPC. If you couldn’t maintain 144 FPS on a 2600 then it’s an issue on your side. I was able to maintain 144 FPS on a r3 1200. Maybe you should’ve installed chipset drivers? I personally play on a 3700x + 5700xt without ever dropping below 300 FPS, but if you wanna cope like that, then it’s up to you. Userbenchmark isn’t at all accurate. I get significantly more FPS than the benchmark said I would when I ran it on both the 1200 and 3700X.
2021-01-20 17:27
get the super instead its barely more money and noticeable better performance
2021-01-20 15:56
if u want to play cs only why go for new parts? buy used i7 2600 or 3700 for 85 euro, motherboard for 30 euro,8gb ram for 30 euro, some power supply for 20 euro,HDD drive for 15 euro and cpu box for 15 euro, gtx 750 ti for 50 euro. All that for 245 euro and u can play cs go at 250-300 fps
2021-01-20 15:59
my 10400f with rx 580 is pretty ok for 144hz cs
2021-01-20 16:03
I have gtx 960 and some i5 not sure and I have capped 144 and never go lower than it with low settings and 4:3 stretch

8GB of ram will be enough if you're just running csgo, discord and/or teamspeak, and a couple of chrome tabs, but if you can manage to find a 12GB kit, you'll have no issues 100%
