Avoid the Ryzen 2000-series especially if you play CSGO. The IPC is significantly worse than on the 3000 or 5000 series, I dont know where your budget is at but I'd try to get a R5 3600 atleast.

Not at same Power Usage. Intel i5 9400f needs 16% more power draw than 3600 to be on pair. Also compare 5000 series to any Intel 10th gen, intel gets destroyed, so you have to compare 2017/18 CPUs to Intel looks a bit better lmao

The Intel equivalent for Ryzen 5 5600X is Core i5-10600K, and its priced at $270. The difference is only $30 for a 15.5% performance avg in gaming. The avg fps/price in 1080p for 5600X is $1.18, and for 10600K is $1.29 Also also, 5600X offers a better Litography, Power Comsuption, IPC, Thermals, Single-Core, Multi-Core, everything.

It does not win, it OBLITERATES. youtube.com/watch?v=ed2-aS-B0iw The only pro thing about the 10600K is that its $25 cheaper, Intel is budget now, other than that, the 5600X wins in EVERY single aspect: Litography, Power Comsuption, IPC, Thermals, Single-Core, Multi-Core, everything.

youtube.com/watch?v=uew-ZkKj3Go&t=81s Almost the same fps without OC and 4400 mhz memory xD. Yeah, 10600kf almost 1.8x cheaper, while 5% worse overall xd. But ofc AMD fools will stay with 5600x instead of 10600kf, while they could save money for better GPU. No wonder that AMD lost 6% of steam users haha. Nice 25 bucks ahah, we're talking about 10600kf and you can't buy 5600x for 300 bucks xd.

Ok, the KF is sighly cheaper, still loses Litography, Power Comsuption, IPC, Thermals, Single-Core, Multi-Core, Gaming, Productivity, Everything. If you dont have $40 to $60 to have a better CPU in every single aspect, i feel bad for you, so you have to go with a worst CPU to save your money :)

I would buy threadripper, but the best one in market uses Zen 2 MA. So i'd rather wait for Threadripper 5000 Series launch to use on my workstation, and then i'll have the 5950X for my gaming machine. I don't use GPU computing, because hardware architecture doesn't use CUDA/Jupiter, it actually uses CPU Cicles, so i need the best single-core possible, thats why 5950X for work instead Threadripper 3970X/3990X.

And actually i'll jump to 11900K if it beats 5950X in gaming, but Intel has no chance in HEDT vs Threadrippers. im not a fanboy of AMD/Intel, i just like raw performance, and right now it is with AMD both in single/multi core, better power consumption (due to litography) also uses PCIe 4.0 which i use for higher bandwidth in my work.

if only for gaming you could choose between: ryzen 5600X (maybe ryzen 3600 if its not available or too expensive but tbh wouldn't buy it as of now because its quite "old") or i5 10400F. i5 10600K should be fine aswell but bare in mind that Z490 mainboards are expensive compared to b550/b450.

2021-01-20 15:28
what motherboard do you have now? If you have an AM4 one, a 2600 or 3600, or even a 3300x is probably a good pairing with a 1070. If you dont have a AM4 mobo or no mobo at all, there are some good Intel CPUs available, like the 10400f

Ryzen 3600 MINIMUM ideally you want a ryzen 5600X or intel i5 10600k But 3600 will be fine with that GPU, 2600 is pretty shit.
2021-01-20 15:31
Ryzen 3600 at least if you wanna go AMD, you're better off getting an i5 10400F/10400/10600K instead of an ryzen 2600. If you can find and afford it, get a ryzen 5600x, best cpu for csgo rn
2021-01-20 15:39

Buy an i5 10400 Only $200 No bottleneck at all Hell, it can be used with an RTX 3070 EDIT: so many idiots advertising AMD, when they are overpriced (and out of stock in many regions)

none, u get integrated with reg also it means your 1070 is idle for daily tasks
2021-01-20 16:14
What is reg 10th? 10400F = 10400. It's the same CPU, just doesn't have graphics (Intel 630 if i not mistaken)

No reason for Zen+, get a 3000 series or go Intel.

400$ is around 65k pkr. With that budget the highest you can go with some savings in hand is a ryzen 3600x, but given that i see in pakistan 3600x is around 15k pkr more than a 3600, i would say go for that. Thats the best you can do with your money rn. If you want more threads and most perf for content creation you can spend your whole budget on a 3800x which i see retails for around your budget ceiling in industech.pk. If you can splurge on both mb and cpu then the way i see about the prices on pakistan, you would serve yourself best if you get a i5 10400f and a mb on top for around 10-12k. You would end up spending 45k~ with few frames in general over a ryzen 3600. While on the ryzen 3600 you would spend mostly 40k pkr without an mb upgrade but you would need a bios update of your mb probably
