Ur actually a dumbass if you think grim is not an impactful player. If you watched the nuke game today he got 3k in probably the most key rounds of the map that led to Liquid's edgy victory. He is a new talent and does not have any experiences playing on big stage but he DOES deliver when Liquid needs it. give it 1-2 years and I guarantee you he will be in top 20 hltv.

It’s the NAVI series, I’m not picking on grim and saying he is doing bad. I’m saying he should be doing better for the reason they picked him up. They picked him up because he performed insane on triumph (1.2-1.25 vs top 50 teams) and has decreased gradually over time. I picked the NAVI series because it showed generally he didn’t have much impact

it's just one series, the variability in your sample is much too high, if i got more holistic data then i might be able to side with you, not everyone is able to perform every single game especially against a top 3 team
just watch liquids new fragmovie on youtube, literally 60% of it is just grim owning people. Also it's hard to have that much impact when u have that much talent on the team. His "non-existent" ct side may come from where they put him. He often plays B which won't grant him that many kills. He is not put on the spots to have the most impact. He is a great reliable anchor that can hold off against multiple opponents.

I think Grim has done excellent given the context he is in. If you put his stats on a player in a t2t3 NA team then yes he would not stand out at all. But given the fact that he has NAF, Elige (2 of the best players to ever come out of NA) FalleN, and Stewie (major winners and some of the most impactful players in the game) I think that he is doing great for his age and background.
Grim's impact was evident today with the amount of opening kills he got on their T sides, and his turret like performance on CT sides. Watching Stewie entry with Grim trade fragging was really exciting to see. You have to remember that Grim's skillset is exactly Twistzz, so he was somewhat under utilized on Liquid of old. I think we will see a new Grim with fallen helping to define liquid's roles

No, you're either a complete idiot or you were intentionally trying to lie using misleading stats. Going 1.08 in a match vs a top 5 team isn't a bad performance at all, especially when you're only the third star on the team.

He had a 1.30ish rating. Even if you’re a NA player a 1.30ish rating with a large sample size (like 40 games) shouldn’t go to 1.10 after switching team. No NA players ever have a 1.30 rating over 3 months with such a large sample size usually they hover 1.10-1.20. It just shows you grim is not playing in to his potential and something is up.

If you're saying what I think you're saying, you know that simple has an average rating of like...1.24? I think? And I presume you don't think Grim>S1mple. He is doing fine., and a 1.10 rating or above at least implies that he is having some good impact. Really, he isn't the person on liquid you should be worried about

? moving to tier 1 and playing a completely role(where you're not the sole superstar on the team and you have to make every play) will definitely result in a lower rating

but only a 1.13 rating vs the top 50
and a 1.05 rating vs the top 30
that's a pretty big drop, he was a big fish in a small pond in low NA

Look at the beginning on of 2020 which was basically his average. You seen when he was on triumph and then you see him go back to his average (his average was lower before he joined triumph) after going TL.
Nothing is up with him at all. He played all the high-frag carry positions in Triumph, and on Liquid he is playing with a bunch of other star players, so he doesn't have the luxury of always being set up to make plays. He averaged a 1.35 rating against tier 2-3 teams in his star player role, and now in Liquid he's averaged a 1.11 rating over the past 6 months. That's totally reasonable.
Also, he's now playing pit on inferno which might boost his stats. Other roles might change too since Twistzz left the team now, and Grim might fill some of his roles.

I think he's doing fine for being new. He's been more impactful then Twistzz was in 2020 that I'm certain of. In fact he's really the reason that letting Twistzz go was 'ok'.
Not a large enough sample size to really draw any firm conclusion on where he'll eventually rank alongside international players but as of now I see nothing at all that would make me want to give up on him.

Fair enough. One thing I'd point out is that Triumph set up Grim to be the star.
Liquid's not doing that.
Anyway let him get a year or so under his belt at this level and we'll see where he's at. I think with what he's shown so far he's earned that at least.
Besides the only young NA player I'd really want over him is Obo and he's been out of the scene a while now, shown to be unpredictable/emotional (right or wrong no judgement) and likely very expensive.

Round 7. It's against an eco but it really doesn't matter. I don't think if they had full armor and buffed Kriegs they would have been able to react to that. Insane sequence.

You need to realize that although he was the star of triumph, he doesn't have the same role anymore. His holds are really good, he can clutch when they need him to, and he plays well with the team. Don't know what else you want from him.

Sometime players can't play good in one team, but they can be GOAT in another one. For example, Felps. Compare his firepower before he join SK and when he play in SK. Look at him right now. He's good again (but versus tier3 teams xD).
Bymas... He was so bad in Faze, but when he join Mousesports become much better.

I agree, I don’t think it’s drastic. I actually expected it, as his performance for other NA wasn’t impressive. But most people knew of Grim because of his performance on triumph because he probably had a the craziest highlights of any NA player in the NA scene ever. He also had the stats to back it up which most NA players don’t
Dude did you even watch the matches when Grim joined Liquid??
He is a very impact full player, and remember this team has Elige and NAF who are the heavy fraggers of TL, Grim wins the crucial rounds and TL can count on him to clutch the round in a 1v2 or 1v3.
