honestly the best crowds are really small time teams like in Ireland the League of Ireland yea i know the football is a bit dire but you meet some genuine people who are from the locality how many fans in the Premier League or other top league actually live in the locality vrs abroad you know what i mean also our league has not yet reached the stage where the local fans are priced out of home games

Happens when financial interests are more important than the fans. In the Bundesliga you can get tickets for below 20 bucks, in the uk you pay like 60 and that's not even euros, tthat's pound. When you overtax the viewers, remove stands, all you are left with is empty stadiums and ground hoppers, not proper fans.

I liked Tottenham until they got Mourinho, but I never supported them. Supported Man Utd when they had Peter Schmeichel, but for the past 20 years I have supported AC Milan. I saw Arsenal - Milan at Etihad and met lots of Arsenal fans before, during and after the match, a draw. In the Tube and on pubs. It was just friendly banter, like "You got dirt on your red shirt", and they were singing supported songs. (I don´t know any italian songs) Same around 2000 when I was in an Arsenal Pub and insisted Keane was as good as Vieira. No hard feelings, just a discussion between fans.
