I mean he farmed his stats against NA teams.
And even with all that he has 1.01 rating against top5 and 1.13 rating overall.
For example, mantuu has the same rating overall, but he has 1.14 rating against top5 (!) and way more maps against them.
It's all because he got bunch of MVPs from NA tournaments. It's just unfair.

7 maps against top 5 opponents - 1.18 rating,
11 maps against top 10 opponents - 1.19 rating.
53 maps against top 20 opponents - 1.21 rating

106 maps against top 20 opponents - 1.11 rating
Jks barely played t1, i mean 90% of all maps he played was in NA, against t2. Only furia were t1.5 but obviously they didn’t do well in EU towards the end of last year. When he did play true top 5 teams, he was average at best.
I get that sh1ro didn’t play that much T1, but it’s pretty clear that he and a lot of other players deserved that top 20 spot over jks.

NAF is better then those players though.
You may as well throw the NA locked stats out. He's put up better numbers in big events then they've ever dreamed about.
And right now in Europe he's the second highest rated player at Blast.

He didn't get to play against those players for the vast majority of 2020.
In a vacuum he's not just a little better he's significantly better. While Liquid was locked in North America he also had to play from Canada on 70+ ping the entire year.
I'm expecting a third top 10 finish from him this year to be honest with you. He's 23 years old in what should be the peak of his career.

He wasn't even that in 2020. It's all because of 7 his EVPs from NA tournaments, where competition was way worse than in EU ones.

yea, the list is too NA biased honestly, 3 furia players doesn't make too much sense to me on top of jks and brehze. i wouldn't pay much attention to the 2020 list though, covid fucked everything up.

He's in a huge slump
He's had no human interaction in like 3 months. He wasn't allowed home in Australia over the break because of the restrictions, and he had to stay in UK. He's probs depressed af. Hopefully the team bootcamps soon.

He probably should not have made the list. That said HLTV users I think manages to underrate the NA scene in 2020.
For the majority of the year you had two teams that peaked at number 1 the year before. 100T who peaked at 4 the previous year. Furia who peaked at 4 or 5 the previous year. Then you had a random mix of Tier 2 teams in MIBR/Chaos/Gen.G/C9. Teams that have players that have made top 20 multiple times.
Obviously it wasn't as strong as Europe but it's not like there was no good competition anywhere. Some very solid teams and if you doubt it just look at the results in Europe since the top teams have come over. Liquid has already made a finals. Beat Na'vi in this tournament. EG is still in it. Not like these teams are getting slammed out in last place.

Well of course not we are talking about 2020.
And all I'm saying is this idea that there were no competent teams in NA in 2020 is stupid. There are plenty of criticisms to levy at NA but it's more about the shortsightedness of the orgs then anything else. The fact Chaos never got picked up just as an easy example is completely ridiculous in a scene that constantly bitches about how hard it is to find talent.
