They had no loss bonus, they would've got $1400 and couldn't have afforded a proper full buy at 14-15 anyway. Here's why it made sense: 50% buy at 14-14 + 50% buy at 14-15 is better than 0% buy at 14-14 + 75% buy at 14-15.
