Rush is actually one of the few people from that roster who isnt complete joke. Stewie 10AM, automatic with his awping in GenG is just bad, Ska was probably only smart one since he retired pretty quickly after the win and tarik went from major MVP to supoort that doesnt really support, or frag, or call.

Him and shox were legendary in source - almost astralis-like domination at times.
I was very surprised to see him "risk" his legacy by returning to CSGO, and even more surprised that he is performing so well :D

Ofc no, he has never won a major, and will never win it. He has never been good enough individually to be in top 20 hltv at least once, and will never be. And he didn't win enough big events to be remembered without winning major or being star player. In fact, the only legend thing that he achieved in his career is Vitality being best team in the world for some time, which is obviously more to the credit of ZywOo. Noone will remember him after he retires. Even 22 yo Kjaerbye did enough already to be remembered, but RpK didn't. Mb only in CS:S but not in CS overall.

Kjaerbye won a major, played in Astralis when they already were the best in the world, has a major mvp, was in hltv top 20 ranking, has a most famous spray control in the esports. At the same time RpK played with ZywOo, took part in infinite french shuffles and was a beast in CS:S which is irrelevant compared to CS:GO. I'm not being hater, I'm being realistic. kennyS, ZywOo, shox, NBK-, apEX are legends, while RpK is not.

idk but cs source was irrelevant and no one cared about it, there were little competition. Only CS1.6 and CS:GO counts, but yes, rpk is goat and legend of CS:Source and maybe if he will win a CS:GO major he will be CS legend overall

U r just being nostalgic. Source is irrelevant compared to GO version. Source competition level was not even close to GO. And playing better than average is not enough to be called a legend. Just remember how before joining Vitality after RpK left Envy no one cared about him. I'm not trying to be hater, but he still hasn't achieved enough.
You're too young, he's been top level for the entirety of CSGO. And as people mention he was best in former games (which I did not watch due to my age, and background with technology). I've been watching the pro cs scene from early 2015 or so to now. RPK has ALWAYS been in the top 10 teams and performing at top level as the tank. So he is a legend, there's few like him who dominated early days of CSGO and still does. A lot of those who played in the early CSGO days have either retired or fallen of. To mention a team: Virtus Pro (Taz, Snax, Pasha, Neo, Byali), some of these are still active in pro scene but are not nearly as competetive as RPK. But RPK still remains a tank at top level. And being "nostalgic" is calculating in his past, like you don't so basicly nobody can be legends if you only see the last month or so.

He is a testimony that you can actually stay in tier 1 despite aging. Reaction time doesn't even decreases noticably before 40 if you keep training.
In a way it improves the image of e-sport too by showing it's not only for the kids etc.
Should be considered a legend really, especially if he can continues for 2 or 3 more years, that would be amazing.

RpK was already a legend before csgo came out. The fact that he stopped playing for 2 years (didn't even play nor watch a single match) and came back to be a tier1 player in like 6 months is just mindblowing. Nobody talks about it but in 2017 when he was in EnvyUs he was by far the best french player in the scene. And now at 30+ years old he is in a top2 team and he is always performing and rekting some t1 player if they come to his side of the map. This guy deserves a major
