Like the great modern age philosopher Homer J Simpson once said: - “Here's to alcohol: the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems.”

Mainly beers, especially Dutch and Belgian ones. I like doubles and triples, although I'm also warming up to IPA's now :) The occasional stout I like too. I'm not into wine at all, which other women around me always find funny :P

ah, i see you're dudette of culture! Wine is not my thing as well, mainly beer and cachaça! What are your recommendations for your favored types? I live 50 meteres from a brewery and their crafted IPA chopp (i belive the translation is draft?) is superb.. just bought a 1L bottle, a few Eisenbahn American IPA (chasers) and a national one (Colorado). All in preparation for removing some heads later on tonight! maaaan, how i waited for this friday, heavy week!

Oof I have quite a few I would recommend to people. Do you use untappd by any chance, to register your different beers etc? Because I use it whenever I try new things etc and you could see which ones I rate highly :) Sounds very good! I've tried some new stuff past 2 nights but I'll take it easy now as I have weekend shifts again. Happy to hear you can enjoy your weekend :D

i'm oldschool, i actually have a regular beer moleskine hahahaha hit me with your best recommendation, from the top of your mind! ooh, that's right, you're a nurse.. how is that working for you? luckly for me, what I suffer during the week i can compensate on most weekends, even my pets are excited today, i couldn't really give them the usual attention

Oh damn haha you don't hear that everyday :D I like it because it also scans the barcodes for you and you can take pictures of the bottles, cans etc :D Hmm one that sticks in my head is called 'Edelhert donker' by the brewery called Heidebrouwerij. It sits at 9% and qualifies as a Belgian Quadrupel. Sometimes the weeks are good and sometimes they are bad :') Corona definitely brought more stress etc for a lot of people so that can put extra strain on a day for us. Aw I bet they are yes :D Make sure to give them plenty of love!

Seems like this beer is unavailable here, i'll have to ask around.. Quick search showed this to be an award winning one.. i'm curious now! Do you work on regular hospitals? I don't see much news about your situation, I hope you are not having too much trouble handling it. Also, a universal 'thanks for your service' is in order. Thank you for your service :D The pets are spoiled little bastards, love them.. they consume most of my time and energy, they are all recues so they kinda created a little clan of their own, always together, sharing food and protecting eachother.. don't know how my life would be without those lovely devils

Oh damn haha, leave it to me to suggest a hard to find one :') I don't work in a hospital actually, I work in homecare. Which means we go from house to house to give care to people. It's varied work for sure :) So far I've been handling it pretty well but some days I can tell it's getting a bit much and I need to remember to take care of myself aswell. And haha thanks :D Oh rescues! Thank you for taking them in :) What pets do you have? They sound like a very sweet bunch!

Yeah, well .. as usuall, the good ones are always hard to find =D I can only imagine how the bad days must go. Taking care of people is not easy, I know. Specially when some already gave up, others don't really seem to realize the situation they actually are and some are just plain douche and evil. I think it takes a lot of character and sobriety to be able to do this for a living .. I have two dogs and a cat (that is more of a dog than the dogs). They're very loving, sensible and active like a supernova, but i'm waaaaay too biased to say anything, i think i take better care of them than I do of my self heheh

The bad days are bad yes haha. Luckily most are very respectful and obviously try as much as they can to help us out aswell during care moments. There is the odd one that actually should not have been given care.. and where colleagues haven't felt safe. I don't have a lot of patience with them as they seem to make it their mission to disrespect us and not help either us or themselves out.. Sounds like they are quite the team together :D And I know what you mean, most pet owners take better care of their pets than themselves :P

Some people can't really face the idea of someone caring for them without feeling personally hurt. As consequence, they become dicks about it :/ human nature is... weird. Any cool story to share?

Yer it really is :/ Even though I work with people and I like what I do, I sometimes lean more towards animals and nature. Hmm stories huh, what about? :D

I will lean torwards animals 100% of the times. I had my share of bad interactions with people, but NEVER with animals (even the rescues from the ONGs, that were vicious full-defensive-mode beasts.. at least with them you know what to expect and how to antecipate harmful moves hehehe) I meant stories about your routine as a caretaker, something funny or crazy

You're very right about that and I don't blame you :) Hmm let's see... The other day I went to a client who I hadn't seen in quite some time and he told me how bummed he was with everything still being closed etc. Including hairdressers.. So he thought he would do it himself as the length was bothering him and starting to itch.. I take a look and there's full bald spots at the side, full on chunks of hair gone while at the other side it was still relatively normal. I tried really hard not to laugh but he was joking about it himself so I felt it was okay to :') He would get it fixed the day after by his cleaning help who would bring a trimmer. His face was kinda proud though, how he managed to do that himself xD

its all about good things though, the positivity. never queue for a game when you are in a bad mood or you know you're gonna lose it. queue if you are looking that nice game, that doesnt mean winning. some of the best games are still spent losing. -Johan N0tail Sundstein your biggest enemy sometimes perhaps is yourself Xu FY Linsen
