Liquid may win nothing with Fallen, I mean too early to judge but watching this version of liquid is better than watching cancer awp whiffing every single round

I'm pleasantly surprised with how well he's integrating into the team. As you say, they could totally win absolutely nothing, but I think early signs are good that he's a positive addition in the wake of Twistzz departure.

Yeah I'm really impressed how well Fallen fits into the team. I didn't know what to expect.

Yap, I've been saying that for what they needed since Nitro is gone, Fallen is the best option possible. Awping and leading. And seems fallen has updated his calls and knowledge once again. What a legendary player, whether people like him or not. Happy to see that Liquid could be back at top 5 teams. But i agree it could still now work out, too early to say

i think they might share the calls, but i might be wrong.

From one interview it sounds like Stewie is calling and others sorta give input sometimes. There's absolutely no way Fallen is outright calling strats though. Having Fallen join and start calling in under 2 weeks of practice while Stewie is still there doesn't seem possible. Especially when they played Nuke, which Fallen hasn't played competitively since its old version.

Ok, thank you for the info, appreciate it. As I said, I could be wrong xD It's still almost certain he's going to have impact on what they do sometimes because of his knowledge. But as again, I could be wrong.
2021-01-22 20:45
Stewie is the IGL, but I think that Fallen has a more active role that other players. I mean... There is one or two clips from Blast that he is giving mid round calls, I could be wrong as well, but despite not being the IGL, he helps with his calls sometimes
2021-01-23 15:17
considering that awp on liquid was dogshit, any decent awper would fit

i don't think winning tournaments is the big fish nowadays, they make more money with merch and streams nowadays

Of course it's a lot about the money, that doesn't mean however that they have lost the ambition to win titles. These guys are competors first, they didn't start playing cs for the money. For the Players the trophys will always be the biggest deal. Going with what your assumption, you could as well argue that someone like Neymar doesn't care about winning the world cup, because he is making shitloads of money anyways. But I highly doubt that.

Very good start. Bit of a resurrection for NA and SA if it continues.

He was doing fine in the MIBR days, even tho the team wasnt working. I always knew that it would be a good move, idk why NA and EU was acting as if it was a terrible decision

I always wanted fallen to shine on some team, in the liquid he obviously won't be the best player but I'm glad that he's on a good team now. I also love to see all the players happy in the game

he is also an interesting player to see, and if i am not mistaken he is quite young too but I don’t know what to expect from the navi, to be honest. They look like a top 1 team, but at the same time they’ve been pretty inconsistent, at least for the last games I’ve seen

true, very inconsistent. and it feels like they rely on simple too much which makes some of them relaxed and makes simple a bit nervous as well. I'm not saying I'm right it just feels like they have some tension in the team

sorry for the delay, i was answering someone else. Yes, I have noticed this too, many times the navi seems to depend on S1mple to win, sometimes also a little on Electronic (but mainly on S1mple).

2021-01-22 19:15
fallen is surelly not as strong as s1mple and zywoo right now, but his maturity is just great, he knows how to play safe and still be relevant, he doest do crazy jumping around, he waits for teamates and utility, and even baited himself on a 2v1 to win the round, Naf and grim are playing really well also

True, he knows that he dont need to go for crazy plays everytime like on mibr cuz liquid team is solid, so hes playing safe like dev1ce.

I think it was the best possible pick for them. With the amount of firepower they have, all he has to do is be consistent with his AWP. On the game side, they can be top 3 easily. But Liquid is maybe the least "psychologically strong" team and can choke big time. Looking at FalleN, he has charisma, knows what to say, did legendary comebacks in majors in the past and that is I think more valuable than his AWP. Anyway, let's hope they get good so that we can have a stacked top 10 with loads of surprises!

I agree w you, his experience is more important than his awp skills in this team
2021-01-23 15:41
One good performance against a washed up EG and people think hes good lol. Liquid just getting lucky matchups. They are gonna get smacked by any decent tier 1 team in every tournament.

Navi are the most inconsistent team in T1 at the moment. Just a few months ago they were getting beat by Tier 5 teams in CIS RMR tournament.

The goal post moving is cute. The team looks way better balanced and way happier as a squad. You're blind if you can't see this. Not only that in that Na'vi game Simple was going fucking Nuclear on Nuke and rather then do a good ole Liquid choke they brought it back in the 30th round.

Not sure how you came to conclusion that I'm disregarding Liquid is a decent team again. I'm stating the obvious; beating Navi doesnt mean they are good. Literally the Navi of yesterday would give Astralis a good match, but somehow the day or two prior to yesterday they didn't even seem like a T1 team. Ofc Navi has the s1mple factor, but beating Liquid shouldnt be used as a metric to measure Liquid as a team.

Well beating anyone doesn't necessarily mean they are a decent team. It's still online CS. They were stomping Heroic and BiG in December and I don't put much stock in those results as I find both teams highly overrated. But in their first tournament as a new squad beating the number 3 team in the world and looking rejuvenated points to good things not bad. They also beat Furia who is a decent Tier 1 team. Unless you're one of those people who thinks by virtue of playing in NA Furia absolutely can't be a decent team. In which case we don't have much to talk about. If you want to take a wait and see approach that's fine. But there's nothing negative to point to right now.
2021-01-23 15:28
At first I thought it was such a stupid move, but actually it's really good. Takes IGL and main awp away at the same time. + NAF has been shitting on people in the last couple series
2021-01-22 20:44

+1 I put kennys on his side I think they are both on the same level, but zywoo probably will be better than the two
2021-01-23 05:43
Liquid will be TOP3 when LAN's are back.
2021-01-23 05:30
So far I see nothing but good things out of this new Liquid lineup. They look was happier as a team. NAF wasn't a bad AWP but Fallen clearly knows what angles are best to hold when you compare the two. NAF is now freed up to rifle and it looks like he's brought 2018 back. Grim looks to have more confidence rubbing shoulders with a legend. Elige had one bad game but otherwise is still Elige. Like if you are a TL fan there's been a lot to take positive from this tournament even if they go out today. I think out of all those things I listed the fact the team doesn't look like they've come off a therapy session each time the camera pans to one of them is probably the biggest difference.
