Hunter is ecstatic to play with his cousin that took his role in the team. G2 pushed him to a role he looks like a bot at and he no longer has the freedom to play loose because your beloved cousin just stole that role from you. They kept it simple and it kinda worked. There biggest weakness against navi was trade fragging and getting caught out mid round. Also not getting first kill. Navi had choice aggression which fucked over g2’s plans. So they need a plan b and c for when plan a don’t work.

1.01 rating this event. doesnt matter if he was the second best player or not this is bad for main awper...he just doesnt have an impact which he used to have and he isnt able to open rounds anymore on consistent basis. on top of that he is missing pretty easy shots as well... hope that he will step up(and im sure that he can. he already showed that in the past) bcs im not sure how long he can stay in g2 with performance like this

stop with those excuses. if you look at % of his kills with awp last 6 months then his performance is just bad and and thats a fact. kennys has 55.3% kills with awp(zywoo 37.77 and even playing as solo anchor/dedicated entry, s1mple 42.55, device 41.79). the thing that he uses flashes more often doesnt change anything since he has awp more ofthen than other awpers anyway.. and niko is completely irrelevant here. performance of kennys was bad months before they even picked him

i didnt say that i would kick him right now. i even said myself that i hope that he will step up bcs i still believe that he has what it takes to be good player(and he already showed that he can come back several times). i would start with making niko dedicated entry(like jackz was) and then i would try to improve their mid round reads/calls bcs this was imo pretty big reason why they lost yesterday(other than they lost almost every entry duel). my only point was that kennys is in pretty bad shape and i dont know how long will g2 as an org(or his team mates) tolerate it bcs awp is the most impactful weapon and kennys just hasnt that impact most of the time

They clearly need a better awper rn. Cerq is just wasting his talent in EG. Why not buy him? Great english, one of the best awpers of 2019 (was decent in 2020 as well during this online era). Can be agressive and passive on his role. So why tf not? Anyway EG are garbo nowadays.

The lineup with Jackz was much better.. Sometimes teams need to realize that you don't win championships by adding firepower after firepower. +Niko to G2 has been a very bad move. Probably worse than +cold to FaZe. All that money spent for absolutely nothing!

Yeap. I have seen it all, over the past two decades I have seen it all my friend, Super lineups have more often than not failed, especially the international ones. There's a reason why no International team have been at the top of the scene consistently for a longer period of time. also this is not 2017 anymore, NiKo isn't that good. I don't see him winning a major with this lineup, as good as it lineup maybe - it is not a major-winning team.

G2 rely way too much on NiKo and kenny to do the impossible and kill everyone.. Nexa needs to work on his strats and calls. His calls on the G2 vs Astralis game were absolutely abysmal Stacking sites, force buying in 14-14, rushing into sites and so on.. Even in the Navi game, they kept losing to flanks and always got stuck and look very lost when their rush b strat gets stopped.. Nexa used to be top 5 igl in early 2020 and now it just looks like he's relying on NiKo and kenny to kill everyone and win everything

This bootcamp, they can analyze all their mistakes and can work on their stats , maleK and swany can ofc do better also with senior players like NiKo and kennyS they can work it out its not a big deal.

I really hope they do because this roster really has the potential to be #1 kenny is looking so much better than in mid 2020, NiKo is probably in his best form, Amanek has been probably the second/third best player on G2 in this tournament, Nexa really needs to work on his strats and Hunter has had a really rough tournament but we all know how amazing he really is

G2 is fantastic, just needs to work on communication, aim, map awareness, crosshair placement, economy management, pistol aim, awp flicks, grenade spots, smoke spots, pop flashes, positioning, bomb plant positions, retake ability, bunny hopping, spray control and getting kills

They have a team that has a lot of individually good players a fast style like that can work if the players are hitting their shots. They have 4 out of 5 players who can go to any team and be the main star player, meaning that they can make fast plays work really easily. They looked fine tactically they just rely a lot on individuals hitting shots.
