There is a weird issue with my PC. Whenever I play CSGO, the PC restarts. All other games, like FIFA 19 and GTA V work fine.
CSGO is CPU intensive game, I tried disabling MultiCore Rendering.
My specs are low - i3 4150 @3.3 Ghz, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA GT 1030 2 GB DDR5.
Someone please help !
This has started recently after the launch of new options.
I even tried capping my FPS to 60 in case my CPU is not able to handle or something, but then also it is happening.
Also there is a weird issue
Sometimes the game is stuck on the logo screen of CSGO and remains there unless i either restart my PC or sign out and sign back in and then it works, for 2-3 seconds and then it restarts.

alright ill give you my super pc knowledge cause i feel nice today:
step 1) disable auto restart when the pc crashes so you can see whats the real error
'Start' -> Click on 'Run' > Type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter > Click on the 'Advanced' tab > Click on the 'Startup and Recovery' Settings button > Uncheck 'Automatically restart', then click on OK -> Click on OK to exit the System applet, then close the Control Panel. > Reboot for the changes to take effect
step 2) check csgo files from steam
library -> csgo -> property -> local files -> check file integrity
step 3) run memtest on your pc
download memtest from official website, put it inside a usb stick with the appropriate program and run it before windows start (u can follow a tutorial for this)
step 4) update your drivers

It restarting sounds like PSU failure or overheat protection, what are your CPU and GPU temps while ingame?

i changed my gpu from 610 to 1030 and 4gb ram to 8gb ram ddr3.
and played with this rig for about 2 months.
and then, the new operation came out and this started.
earlier it was quite a few times, but now the game doesnt let me play even a death match.
also, one day i updated my windows and everything came back to normal but now again its like the same and updating windows isn't helping either.

How much watt is your psu rated for? From which brand? I suspect your components might be dragging too much power from your psu when under heavy load.

its a cheap one, 450W. but the game used to work fine before the update

If you have a way of measuring power usage of your pc I would try that. I think it's most likely ur psu, otherwise I have no idea.

I would try running with only one stick of ram, see if that does anything.
also try putting your old gpu in or even run on integrated graphics.
get aida64 stress test, furmark and memtest and try to see where your problem is coming from(that is cpu, gpu or memory).
hope this gives u a starting point

Try atress testing ur pc and see if it crashes under full load, if it does its most likely thw psu

since the issue resolved for a short while when i updated my windows, should I reinstall a clean windows and see if that helps ? because i really dont want to think about a bad PSU since i dont have money to replace it, also every other thing works fine.

Thats why i said u should try stress testing ur cpu/gpu
U can also try reinstalling the windows but I doubt that would help
The only software thing that comes to my mind is maybe a faulty driver, did ypu install any drivers short before these issues started happening?

Stop playing FIFA if the fix
it might be processor or ram issue. Pc may restars due to high temp on ur processor cuz as we all know CS is a typical processor game, so for example lack of paste on processor or too much dust on vents may cause overheat and therefore ur pc restart to protect ur pc from damages. Sometimes one of few pieces of ram may be damaged so before starting cs next time , try to take out each piece and then to find out which one is damaged. Try one by one. Remember there are numbered or colored slots on ur motherboard so if u have more than 1 piece remember to install ram in good slots.For example if u have 2pieces of ram (2x4 or 2x8) both pieces should be installed in slot 1,A or the same colour slot.

isn't the base clock of your CPU 3.5? why are you underclocking it at 3.3?

i upgraded my memory, but it used to work fine for a couple of months
and even upgrading the windows fixed the issue for quite a while but then it reoccurred.

Same happen to me. If u do a memtest64 on the new memory u will see that are faulty. U can send them back. My PC is working fine with the new mem sticks now ;)

1. Go to Forums on the top navbar
2. Select any tag in which you wish to post your tag.
3. Scroll to the bottom and you'll find the box where you can post with your title, tag and content.
4. Also, if you post and it says that you need to be more active etc, just post about 30-40 different comments in different threads and you'll be fine. if it doesn't work, just wait for about 12 hours to get the server refreshed about your activity.
