When using the player search feature on hltv you have to spell the entire name correct (or the first half of it to show up matches)
But the problem is that many people use numbers in their names.
For example S1mple.
if i would search 'Simple' i wouldn't get any matches. Could you please make it some players have more methods of finding them or remaking the search feature so that when you mistype someones name it will still look for the closest matches?
Thanks!
Just feels like a minor inconvenience.
There are players I've trouble finding, but takes maybe one minute to find with google or liquidpedia.
Mechanogun and Somedieyoung are examples.
but ive never seen anyone spell their names without numbers
i feel like this is incredibly situational and takes like a second to change a letter to number
yyp9x
gla1ve
k1to
b0rup
k0nfig
Ax1le
sh1ro
es3tag
but this is not the only thing it can be used for, lets say you mistype someones name, if i type 'dvice' they could still make 'device' pop up.
Its only a suggestion.
The algorithm searches by partial match of the name. If the player's nickname contains digits and you don't type those digits, you won't get the correct result back.
I assume Nomad's gotta put a lot of work on that feature you suggest.
