Hey friend, I just upgraded to a 9700k from a 4770k and I am really enjoying it. It is currently pairing nicely with a GTX 1080, but can handle the newer gpu's as well. Why not just wait a bit and go with 11700k?

its perfect, I7 9700K has no ht so its perfect, keep your cpu and if u can overclock your cpu if you have a good cooler do it you'll gain a lot of fps and you can oc your ram too

look benchmark, i think it cuz ht cores are less porwerfull than "real" cores if u want more optimisation you can disable core 0 on csgo (with task bar task manager and set affinity), btw if u want to have more fps you can check fr33thy channel he make a lot of optimisation video, and last, if u want my autoexec i have a lot of good settings that modify some parameters in the lights, I gain a lot of visibility and fps

Depends on what you're doing, if it is gaming you'll be fine. If you're shopping then take a look at AMD, they got Intel beat at both performance per $ and also at the top end. Plus their CPU's use less power so it is easier to build a silent system.
