Thats only half true. Simple performs amazingly vs astralis as long as its not a final. For whatever reason his matches vs astralis (finals only) include basically all the bad matches he has had.

You're right. But considering how well everyone in NaVi is playing, I'd say he'll probably get it. He also slows down against Astralis, beause they know how to counter his hard carry mode. So he plays for the team. He's doing a lot more entries than he used to as well.

The number of maps doesn't matter tbh, if s1mple is not performing well and Dupreeh is average/good then Dupreeh will probably get the MVP

Depends on the performance of s1mple in the final, could be a quick 2-0 for Astralis since NaVi is probably tired and then s1mple wouldn't get the MVP

That's true. Unless it's a straight below average performance with 0.75 rating for s1mple, he should be getting the MVP. However, that shouldn't be the priority. The priority should be to win, whatever it takes. Although, it's gonna be difficult. They must be very tired by now :(

The fact that NiKo would get the MVP in that tournament was obvious, he could have played worse and received a final rating of 0.02 - 0.03 less and would still have received the MVP, this difference would not have been enough given the number of cards played by ZywOo and NiKo. ZywOo was second in this race, because the closest players who in theory could qualify for the MVP (other than NiKo) are broky and valde with a rating of 1.17. Such a rating in comparison to ZywOo would really not be enough to get an MVP. I wrote that this is not possible, but I meant that it is incredibly difficult in modern realities, when every top team almost always has a player who finished the tournament with a rating of 1.2+ or even more. And so, probably it is possible, but not without a share of luck.

It’s the Most Valuable Player award, not the best player on winning team award. HLTV uses it to award individual rankings which are supposed to be based on individual impact not team acolades, otherwise device would be #1 every year.
