I was watching the nets play the other day and I thought of a pretty solid NBA-CSGO comparison between some of the best players. ZywOo = Giannis Antetokoumnpo S1mple = James Harden Device = Steph Curry ZywOo = Giannis because he is a 2x mvp (2x hltv top 1) who never made it to the finals and is on a team that has solid pieces but no 2nd superstar. S1mple = James Harden because he stuffs the stat sheet with insane offensive numbers but has never won it all, hes had 2nd superstars (cp3 - electronic) but fell short to the juggernaut (golden state/astralis) and played very poorly in his early finals run (James harden OKC 2012/s1mple esl cologne 2016) and also played poorly in his 2nd finals run (harden didn't have a 2nd finals run but played bad game 7 2018/s1mple faceit 2018). Only 1 mvp/hltv top 1 but multiple 2nd place finishes Device = Steph Curry because he never won a finals mvp (HLTV top 1 (finals mvp is closer to major mvp but bare with me here)) and always had solid teammates, has a lot of haters questioning how he would do without superstar teammates but has proven in the past that he is still elite without extreme help. Face of a juggernaut (GSW/Astralis) and very consistent player. What do you guys think

Only difference is Zywoo can win a major with their current lineup, Giannis can't win a championship without a better lineup. He's amazing but he needs better shooters, he creates good looks but his teammates suck dick. At least Middleton has improved

good comparison actually but duncan has been much more successful with individual accolades (2x mvp, 3x finals mvp) where as curry is (0x fmvp 2x mvp) and device is (2x major mvp, 0x hltv top 1) but yes their styles are very similar, consistent, low key, underappreciated

also another factor is that duncan proved that even very late into his career, he was still elite (near dpoy/all nba level still) device and curry are in similar spots of their career where they are nearing the end of their prime but not "old" yet (NBA ~ 34+, csgo 27+)

I don’t know how long you have been following the NBA, and if you know such a player Karl Malone. So comparing him with Zywoo is more appropriate for me. This player, purely for basketball characteristics, as for me, was almost the best at that time. However, Throughout his career, He constantly fought with the Bulls (Astralis) but this team was invincible because of the chemistry team and MJ of course. Giannis certainly has talent, but in order to become the best in his generation, you must have a steady shot in your arsenal. And he is already 25 years old ... also harden doesnt choke every playoff game, only playoff games deep into the playoffs, kinda like s1mple in major finals, harden plays good in the first round, s1mple plays good in the quarterfinals, harden usually plays well in the 2nd round, s1mple usually plays good in the semifinals

I think Simple = Durant = Uncoverable, cant play him, unpredictable, swishes whenever he gets the chance zywoo = Doncic = Generational talent, just entered the nba, and is a playmaker with very little self focus.
