Yeah and that's fine, you don't need to be a master reviewer to have a an opinion. But for me a good anime will contain an element on a criteria list, maybe its a well written scrip with natural dialogue, good animation or maybe a well paced and good written story. You find what you like after watching many different anime and what favorite anime have in common. For example I love Ghost Stories eng dub, purely because of the dialogue. The story is absolute ass, but its funny and that makes it good to me. Same with Grand Blue. I have 10/10 anime that people would consider 2/10 because there is some element in the anime that compelled to me. So its really just all subjective. But I do think you would enjoy many anime other than romance drama. For example AoT has developed quite a deep and rich story that will emerge you right in. HxH has very good character development and leaves you waiting for more every time you finish an episode. My favorite anime Code Geass I feel has it all, the story, pacing, character development, clever plot twists and so much more. Rainbow is another anime I just came across, and like you said, I feel it speaks to the heart. Its something that I really enjoyed.
