"The young Finnish esports contender has entered into a court case with developer Valve, in which it’s been admitted that they know he didn’t cheat.
It’s been revealed that Jamppi sold the account to another player — who did end up cheating — ultimately leading to the unfortunate ban. Out of this, though, Valve will not be restoring his account permissions."
IF Valve finds some account, like the one that Jamppi sold to the cheater, Valve would lock the account or deactivate it.
TOS does not mean "You cant play at our majors/tournaments because you broke the TOS". Then Valve would need to include that in the TOS.
Valve lowkey needs to ban the entire scene since probably 90% of pros have broken the TOS once or twice at some point in their Life :D theres no point in arguing with Jamppi haters tho, even if it came out that Jamppi did absolutely nothing and cured cancer they still wouldnt change their opinions.
valve literally lets thousands of people to bypass their anti cheat and dont do shit about it but they see a kid with talent that could make a living with it they run him to the ground. glad he found another source of income with valorant but valve can eat a dick
it's just another loss for the csgo scene, he was talented and had lots of hours in the game. do i ultimately care for him specifically? no. but i don't really want t2-3 cs to keep being whittled down, it's not healthy for the scene.
We'll have to see, but in all honesty decreasing the talent in csgo isn't really a good thing, whatever way you want to go about it. Unfortunate but at least it may open a path for someone more fortunate.
I have no idea what you two burgerbros are talking about. I wasn't crying. No one was crying. Also dont say every Finn is toxic. I'm only toxic if you are toxic to me. Also IBP and Jamppi's ban was very different. But thanks for your comment anyway. Even tho it was very not needed
I think the majority of people agree that IBP shouldn't have been perma banned, any ban by Valve for matchfixing or cheating when the people were underage and not on the pro scene should be like 2-3 years max imo
