Didn't stay up to watch Mavs vs Trail Blazers and when i wake up i check and see the score is 118-121, Portland won. But... Luka with fucking 44pts, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, 62.5% from 3 and 5 turnovers.
Last 14 games for Luka has been all +25 pt games, with the last 2 being 44pts (now) and 46pts vs Pelicans.
Luka can't stay on Mavericks forever. He hasn't peaked yet (3rd year in nba) and is well above some of the greatest players in the NBA already. Who should buy him?

NBA fans cars. To compare, Luka Doncic is like s1mple and Zywoo in cs when it comes to carry potential. Not when it comes to "GOAT" status. I would imagine that Luka becomes one of the GOATS of NBA one day

yea luka is nuts. even tho that he had average start with really bad 3 point shooting he would be still mvp most likely if mavs would have good record(at least 3rd seed) but lets give it a time. its still too soon to judge mavs bcs they were decimated by corona, KP didnt play etc. doesnt matter their current record. they still have 44 games ahead of them

The only thing that got them to playoffs last season was the INSANE KP and Luka duo. Hoping KP does well consistently = hitting 3's like he used to

Yes but he didn't bring a lot more to the Mavs last season that's why I didn't mind the trade for JRich. Bad defense, no rebounds, mediocre playmaking, bad court vision, etc. But the Mavs were nº1 in Offensive rating last year and now he's gone and this year they're close to dead last meanwhile the Sixers are having their best season ever. So yeah, Seth is an amazing player.

But you can't buy a player in NBA, only trade for another players or assets like draft picks. FACEPALM! And I can't see Mavs trading him at all. Not many players in NBA who are worth trading him for.
BTW... Is NBA popular in Norway? NHL I think must be popular in your country, just like in your neighbour country Sweden.

My favorite since he was playing in Europe but bro this Dallas team, Luka doesn't get any help. Missing a lot of open 3s that Luka creates with his insane passes. Porzingis is 7'3 and he doesn't know how to rebound, in the paint is afraid to defend the bigs, he is soft, i dont know maybe all the injuries and he is too slow to defend the guards, wings, see yesterday with Dame, looking at him doing nothing... beside shooting 3s he does nothing and he is not making them 3s every night.

Well yeah maybe... I'm sure they would have wanted Joker.. but the idea of the signing is sending the same message I think, Luka is the franchise and they're going to build around him and make him feel comfortable personally and professionally. He is going to be Dirk 2.0 but they'll do it better this time.

Tbh It's all going to come down to salary caps blah blah blah over the next few years. I think I know what you mean with the Dirk comment, there aren't really franchise players like there used to be, but, it should be interesting.

dirk even refused max offers from other teams and made a cut in his salary so mavs can bring other "star" player(it didnt went well tho but still huge respect for dirk)...

I think he should extend his contract one more time like Harden to give the franchise another chance to build a team around him then leave if they fail. He is already on a legendary level so he doesn't really have much to lose by carrying Mavs for more years.

lol, he did everything he could to win them a chip. You know, it's not easy to win the chip if you get bounced by the GSW team every year. Harden and the rockets won more games against GSW in 2018 playoffs than all the other teams combined lmfao.

i have nothing against harden as a player. he is amazing hands down...but dude he got EVERYTHING he wanted. he wanted howard but it didnt work out. he got chris paul and guess what? it didnt work out. he wanted his best buddy westbrook and how long it lasted? 1 year and without significant result.

Load management means nothing, most superstars are on a load management from time to time, to blame him for that is just ridiculous.
James Harden did a lot for the organization, it's really not his fault that his best teammate got injured when they were about to bounce one if not the best team in the nba history.
And about Westbrook, he got injured and then played like shit in the playoffs coming off the injury. If you were to blame anyone on the rockets team in the Harden era for not winning a chip, Harden would be the last person on the list.

funny that you talk only about a year but not about contracts that they got with those players. funny that harden wanted all those players and he wasnt able to play with them after all and he even admited it. it had nothing to do with injuries but with chemistry.
like i already said harden is awesome player individually and one of the best if not the best scorer in history but he surely didnt give his franchise everything. he more costed them then gave them and the way he forced his trade? shame and nothing more...

indeed, next year hardaway and johnson (combined they will get $35M) will be free agents, so mavs can bring a banger player, i really hope they could get jokic (if he sign with mavs must be on a trade unfortunately) so...
Like he said, it's not about buying power, but shuffling around the salary caps in place.. people are going to have to take cuts and one of the big 3 would have to not have supermax etc
