Women in general simpy have different interests, that means not only a fraction of the playerbase being women, but also them not taking it seriously, since they aren't competitive like men by nature. I've seen some studies which also show on average better reaction time for men, as well as performing under stress, etc.
Females can play in male tourneys. I believe VP beat some Fe team at some tourney back in 2020. Males can't play in female tourneys tho.

because female teams never had a good top 30 team. if female teams had a stable, good top 15-50 team, they would be playing with male teams in tournaments too!
They are not split up. Current women playerbase is not good enough to compete with men. Hope this helps.

because FEMALES want it.
Not a lot of females play competitively. I'm sure anyone who isn't sexist will gladly pick up anyone regardless of gender if they fit the roles needed and do the role well.

It is not sexist to say the obvious - women can't compete against men
the same reason there isnt any female LoL teams and the same reason there isnt really any mainstream sports that are dominated by females. There is just less of a pool of people who try to enter ( which is a bad thing and often bread by historic sexism ) and there is genetic differences between men and women like how men tend towards the extremes generally * good and bad * so you are more likely to see exceptional men than exceptional women and thats also the reason men dominate the prison population, theyre more often than women exceptionally stupid too.

not sure exactly what you're saying but it often comes down to preference. in the case of CSGO, clearly males are way more interested in playing it than females. Which is fine btw. We don't all have to like the same things.

I'm not contending men and women are equally capable in sports. Obviously they have very different body types which makes males more competitive in pretty much anything requiring physical athleticism.
But for some competitions, for instance chess as you mention, it probably has to do more with males being more interested in competitive chess than females. More players = greater talent pool. See #79
Also - it's not hard to see that testosterone is a major influence when it comes to competitive drive.
**I shouldn't have to say this but just in case anyone gets upset by such a statement, I recognize there are elite female athletes who have a significantly higher competitive drive than most all males. I'm just speaking in terms of averages.

The competition to top tier isn't gender-based... There are separate female tournaments, but the top tier tournaments are "open", same as in like golf... there's "open" and there's "female"... No one stops female to play on the open tournees, they just unfortunately aren't good enough for top teams to sign them. It's all about skill, not what they have in their pants :)

All tourneys allow anyone who is good enough, but women teams aren't good enough so it seems like its only men. Just like other sports, no rule for women not playing they just aren't good enough. So we have female e-sports to give them a chance at pursuing their dreams.
Females competing against males will never be in favor of females. Males are just built differently, have higher peaks, brains are different thus reactions are faster. The sports are divided like that for a reason and they should stay like that.
Women have slower reaction times then men, so if we merged the scenes then female esports would be gone
because out of 100,000 CSGO players, 98,000 will be male so there's a much bigger pool to pick players from. a larger pool statistically means you can find better players.
simply put - females aren't as interested in CSGO as males.

Best female team is in inters so there isn't much opportunity for them to get into the 'male' tournaments apart from the free handouts from dreamhack open once a year.
