They are not excuses, they are valid responses as to why they play a different role within the game; they do not hunt frags or trade, they serve a different purpose. Yes, these can be seen as excuses but it depends upon the person.

Rather 0.9 k/d and high win % than high k/d and lose 2/3rds of the games :D Also having high k/d is absolutely worthless if your impact is shit

I have a friend 3 levels lower than me who only queues with me. He normally gets blown out by higher level players in my games so his k/d is .94 even though he’s above average for his level. I’d say this is the only valid excuse for .9 kd in pugs.

0,9 k/d last 20 matches can happen under certain circumstance. I 90% soloQ and got rekt 16-4, 16-7 and so on a couple times in the past. Your k/d is gonna be shit if you get 5 games like that. If you then just fill in - like I do - you will have low average as well. Stats only tell half the tale. I am now >1 k/d with low average (18), but somehow 55% winrate soloQ. So I must be doing something right? That said, ofc I am not that good. I only play casually with 20hrs/2 weeks, but 2.1k elo isn't hard to hold. If you are smart you adjust with good comm and try to support, drop weapons and play smart. Outposition instead of outaim; play time and let backup finish the job. If you have 2k+ matches with overall 0,9 k/d.. then idk. R.I.P At the other hand you have 25 avg. 1.4 k/d - check profile. Boosted on aim maps. Boosted by playing in their own hub or with lvl1-4 accounts. They play super aggressive and never for the team. 2v2 3v3 3v2 all lost. Also toxic af. Yeah, mb that's why you have 30% winrate. I don't looks at stats anymore cause faceit is trash nowadays. People at 2k+ elo who can't spray, can't throw window smoke, play close quarter vs eco. People with "I don't know this map" when it's Nuke, fucking last change was 3yrs ago or something like that. And 1k+ matches guy doesn't know the map on lvl10. So much boosting and elo abusing... I know people who elo abuse and they justify with "everyone does it." yeah, nice. Hope your account gets hacked and vac banned. /Rant off

I'm entry makes sense but tbh it's all about impact frags.. couldn't care less about kdr if you can get 1 or 2 opening kills in most of the rounds

I mean being a dedicated entry does make it hard to get good stats but ad long as you get traded having a bad kd is forgiveable

Low k/d doesn't always mean bad player. I played a game just now. Finished 20/21 which is negative k/d (0.96) while my mate finished 20/16 (1.3k/d). Same ammount of frags but differnt k/d cuz the guy was an awper and saved a couple of rounds.

i get low kills on maps like nuke and inferno because my team never try to take banana control and when they do, they just stay for a few seconds and leave to a site im usually lurking on banana and keeping the other team honest and thats why its not so ez for me to get like 30 kills and high kdr. When my teams is getting ready to execute, i go back and flash for them or smth. Im not the first one in usually but if my team needs me to go first, im willing to sacrifice my kdr to open up the side and plant the bomb. I also drop good guns to my team and make sure they have good buys before buying for myself. I dont get high kdr, but i get about 20+ kills and my teammates usually dont complain about my kills or kdr
