First time in years that i'm not interested in a grandfinal of a tier 1 tournament. No hate to the teams, they played great so far and deserved their spot in the final.

true I think the finals wont even have 100k viewership. The esl official stream.

Fans like us should make it a better viewer count. If not us then who will watch cs go lol. Just because our fav team got eliminated doesn't mean the finals will be shit. It's gonna be a entertaining finals for sure. Being a navi fan atleast a stress relief match hahha no more heart attacks

gambit and vp not big names, that's why it boring. Won't watch it myself either. I'd rather watch one sided Astralis-Liquid match than this, nothing against gambit and vp but that's the thing for me.

Astralis and Navi did their names by being in these finals, it is not that the first time they appeared and become interested to all the viewers. So, give a chance to rising stars, even though they are not your favourites, still it can be entertaining cs to watch
2021-02-27 21:48
Honestly not to mention its probably gonna be a one sided match for Virtus Pro lets be real Gambit had a lucky run but VP are playing great so cant imagine them letting it slip

CIS Maincast stream is going to teach you that CIS can get as much as viewers as Brazil
2021-02-27 21:25
14 replies
>ESL official stream > ruski stream pick one. Ofcourse ruski stream will have 200k. And csgo might get 500k in total but imagine if navi vs liquid. All brazilians would come. Official ESL stream would have like even 500k cause of grand final and in total cs would cross 1 mil.

do you really think brazilians ever watched esl streams? Gaules is the one to get that 400k concurrent viewers, Brazil gets views on Brazil stream same for CIS

So you are mad because Liquid/Astralis/Navi got shitted on and your excuse for being mad is just "ono grand final wont get any views" are you esl manager and you are mad because "less viewers" = "less money" or something? why are you even mad if there is less viewers?
2021-02-27 21:34
6 replies
I mean I am not mad, i am just making a point and which is also a fact. I really dont care tbh about this final. Even tho I like cs growing, but this keeps happening for 3 months, csgo will die. Atleast views will die. Viewership will be half of what it could have actually been.
2021-02-27 21:36

why not think of it the same way as it will bring more CIS fans to watch the game like Brazilians did in 2017/2016

CIS fans are the worst fans to have. No cap, 70% people are literally bettors. They dont care about team. But brazilians bring the passion. And I am neither. And if you think this final will bring more cis fans to cs? You are wrong.

alright mate, i will give you some time to cool off and realise a team has to be good to advance in a tournament, You literally will Blame virtus.pro for killing grand final viewership by beating liquid or something

I never said anyone is bad, or I am mad. As OP said he wont be exicted for this finals, so will be alot of people aswell. I have been following CIS/ t2/3 cs since some years. And I am happy they are proving themselves. But just a normal point, that there will be alot of less viewership. Which you can only blame people. And having less viewership is bad for cs since alot of players are already leaving for valorant. There are already very less orgs investing in cs and if it keeps going down, then alot of will leave. And vp deserves there spot, they have earned it. Nothing against vp and gambit. You are being delusional tho

suddenly, a final with tier 2 teams that smashed tier 1. THIS IS ONLINE CS
2021-02-27 21:10
13 replies
This is not online cs. This is cs where the organizers don't just invite "T1" teams and less known teams can make it. This just proves the level of skill in cs right now and what is being kept under wraps. Most people would never have thought that cis would perform this good against EU teams because they were never given the chance. That said, the final doesn't make me very hyped. I don't care much for either team even though they both played really solid.

I still missed a team like fpx there. They could've thrown a spanner in the works by winning a match against one of the CIS teams.
2021-02-28 04:51
Okay no this is just not true. There is clearly some element of online effect. Like lets be real Gambit have never done anything on LAN and there rise literally began in the online period. The way to test this is how long theyre relevant. Look at BIG they were an online team and look how quickly they fell off. Online teams come as a shocker but cannot sustain top tier play.
2021-02-28 12:40
2 replies
Offline teams only become offline teams because they are given the chance. Do you seriously think that only the current T1 teams are "real" LAN teams? The quality of a good player is being able to adapt. The top players have adapted to online and put up great performances. Others like Gambit and VP are give chances to prove themselves. You can't dismiss online - it's been going on for a year now and those who suck are just not good.
2021-02-28 17:18
1 reply
Okay so there are elements to online play that are completely different. Also VP arent an online team lmao they came 2nd at the major XD. So you believe that teams that peak because of online should be given the same respect as those that do it online. Were forced to the online period it does not mean that the top teams are the same calibre as on LAN Online there is a ping element meaning that either player could have a slight advantage compared to the other. The environment is completely different. Some players will player better or worse under the pressure. The burnout from playing constantly everyday from home.

Who cares, BO5 finals are quite of a chore to watch no matter the teams involved (if not boringly one-sided just endless). That aside, this tournament already delivered in every aspect you could possibly ask for. First seeing the two baguette teams getting trashed (kekw NiKo great addition), and after keeping the whole chain of upsets with typical NAVI melting, Liquid being sad and Astralis laughing at their own dismantling you get to see an uncommon final with more interesting storylines backing it up.

Been following pro CS (and NaVi) since 2011 so I have indeed seen everything. I actually took a break from CS in 2019. The entire year from the pro scene and 6 months from playing (I play CS since 2004 and I just got tired of it). That means I missed both Astralis major wins vs Avangar (which was VP -Yekindar) and vs ENCE. Considering Astralis' opposition and what the map scores ended up being, I'm not sure if people were hyped about them.

I am sorry my friend but that is one of the big differences between a game lover and a game fan. If you love csgo, you love the gameplay, the mechanics, the high skill, the strats and every element that can progress that. To my eyes Spirit , Gambit and Virtus Pro play good cs but not high level. They are hungry and mercyless and they got their timings right in Katowice. I will surely watch the game, because no matter how much i love to watch s1mple play like mad or Niko hitting unreal one taps or gla1ve mindplaying opponents, these all classic powers lost to maniacs like Spirit, Gambit and Virtus Pro. Salut.
2021-02-27 23:57

Its about personalities, even with hobbit and vp core being on the top cs for some time we dont have enough interviews and interaction with them. The few interviews we have are short ones before or after a match, because of the language barrier some of them dont understand the question or dont get the point across, which would work better in an interview in their native language.

Nobody could read LG/SK on 2016/17, but they tought than that would last forever and didn't changed a thing, that's why they fall apart

dude 2016 LG played exactly like 2015 LG before fnx/taco joined them just way more loose it's not like they defind meta or something no one could "figure" them out because they had great synergy, were NUTS in clutches and hella skilled individually of course it's hard to read you and by the way it's not completely true G2 won against them a lot at that time and if u followed br teams since 1.6 you would've known that br was always mainly about agressive playstyle and skill CIS at least had teams like old na'vi/flipside who played extremely slow and tactical cs but otherwise our scenes are similar

FalleN was really good with tatics and mostly with calm retakes, that almost no team could handle because they didn't knew how to play against it, one of the first teams that had a active lurker that would work as support as well and still be the star of the team they had good tatics, good balance of slow and fast game and good individual too, but they tought that nobody would never know hot to play against it, that's why it ended

that's just factually not true calm retakes is what fnatic were known since 2014 these guys would wait for the last seconds and then retake i don't even know who fits star support active lurker description on that team cold would support but not activly lurk fer would actively lurk but hardly ever support team didn't die because they were ignorant or something it's not like they never tried to adapt to the meta and try new things it's just a normal process for any team (astralis is kind of exception cus of the structure) 2016/2017 LG/sk had different mentality and huge hunger for the win those were the main factors they lacked later on also teams figuring out fer's agression and Fallen's awp playstyle didn't help them to keep up individually idk if you know but there are interviews with Fallen on thorin's channel also i remember stewie talking about his time on SK and seangares analisys of LG playstyle they depended on individual skill and clutch factor A LOT

yeah but i hate everyone start crying when a team that is not astralis, vitality, navi, faze or liquid start winning, and they search every fucking excuse. Same story happened last year when big and heroic started performing.

Why are you overreacting over some Grandfinal being CIS ?? Talking about viewers dropping and repeating the same thing over and over ?? Just because your fav EU team didnt reach GF doesnt mean it will be boring to watch. And noone cares if you wont watch the match :)

You're not interested in the grand-final, because you're not interested in CS, you're just a man who looks at the fashion teams :)

+1 This is a fun final, new teams are making the 'old teams' work and needing to adapt. Why must we see the same teams/'favorities' at every final
