esea not worth unless you play scrims/league
Iv retired but i used to play esea mostly
faceit sometimes, mostly esea because faceit servers are absolute dogshit compared to esea's
faceit unless im pugging with friends on esea
esportal now, just playing this for fun until I can be back in form
esportal/faceit only sites worth playing
anti-cheat comparable to vac, so complete dogshit
esportal is good. i have 1000+ games on it.
In my experience, ESEA is the best, the only issue is that it lacks a larger player a base. The reasons why I am saying that are:
-the ranking system is not as punishing as on FaceIt (even if you lose, but you played very well that game, you are not going to lose as much "elo" [or MMR as they call it on ESEA], as the guy that did absolutely nothing but die the whole match);
-*in my experience* the player base is friendlier, more helpful and not as toxic as on FaceIt (more often than not random guys from my team saw that I would ocassionally struggle with some things and they actually took their time to explain those things to me, help me improve and eventually play together more pugs; whereas on Faceit free I would most of the time encounter stereotypical CIS players that speak little to no English and would only do their thing or/and people from the Balkans that think they are good because they have above average aim, but can only play on D2, Inferno and Mirage & flame their team and start calling the enemies cheaters because they are getting outaimed and outsmarted. The same story can be said on Faceit premium as well tbh, but this time everyone is toxic, not just some particular nationalities. Also, for some sort of reason, I met a lot of people that would rage quit if we lost the pistol round, so there is that too;
Those were the main points, some smaller things which I like as well, but are not as relevant:
-the support on ESEA replies within an hour, at least in my experience. Compared to FaceIt where I have to wait at least 24h;
-the warmup thingy while waiting for a match is a nice thing;
-being a ringer and receiving ringers (if you are a ringer, you get MMR if you win the match, but don't lose any if you lose the match). Although this thing can backfire and you might end up with a very toxic teammate, but I never encountered that.
I hope this helps you! n0thing's mother posts ESEA invite codes daily, you could grab one from there and try it out for a week for free :)
Also, I want to mention that although I am not the most gifted player and lose more often than win, I try my very best and that is just my experience with the platforms.
Neither one nor the other is worth it, one moment will have to take the red pill and understand that it is the same everywhere, it is not the fact of changing platform that will change anything, Faceit Premium, Faceit Free , ESEA, ECL, Esportal, whatever, you will have your dose of toxics and conflict everywhere, humans are the same everywhere, whether you put money or not will not change anything.
The best platform remains Faceit because it's free and there are more people in addition to having a site with a good graphic quality when ESEA for example is really "cheap".
Esea is the worst platform, there are a maximum of 200 players playing during the day, so you have to wait between 20min and 2h to find a game and since there are few players, they have to mix up everyone, so if for example you are A + you will constantly play with C + and B +, as if a level 10 had to play with 4 level 4 .. so enough to lose his neurons .. In addition there is a hypocritical system of karma, we can kick you and you can even join games already in progress it's completely silly.
The people who stay on Esea are 16 yo Americans weeb who like to exchange small talk on the ESEA forum
