I'm speaking csgo related. I started play CS at 1999-2000 and since a lot of you, we use to play on internet café. We had no deathmatch, no workshop maps, aimbotz, tutorials, youtube videos, promatches etc etc. All we did was pay 0.20 0.50 cent and plug and play for 1 hour of random casual on d1 assault and icework or fypool and wait our turn to spawn again only when everyone was dead. On a dirty pc who 200 more people played in with same mouse keyboard and no mousepad. Kids nowdays have everything from the gears to any map to train any tutorial, pro streams, pro matches, multi platforms, can play vs everyone and with everyone to get experience. Max i could play was to go in another neighbour and play vs the kids there. One of the reasons why there are so much young talents. You guys are so lucky!

I played League of Legends in internetcafé back in the days and there was always this Swedish guy being toxic and streaming his games. This dude legit 24/7 there i think it was his home. Funny guy tho i wonder what happen to him. I miss those days tbh

even mouse difference and keyboard is pretty brutal, like mouse can be amazing these days, and keyboard almost there was no such thing as gaming keyboard :D maybe only colored gaming style i dont know, and ofc there is huge factor ping/fps which was terrible

I started in 2001, there was a thing called "lan fever" here in Brazil because of CS, lan houses were popping out of nowhere every corner, kids would play for hours, it was the funniest thing ever... The feeling of joining the server and try to beat everyone else while they were right next to you watching you, it's out of words, only people that lived that know how different of a fun it was. When someone was knifed everybody would shout at him it was amazing hahaha... the only comparable thing back then was Goldeneye with 3 friends. (Btw, it is fy_iceworld not "icework" lol)
