soundcloud.com/verydenkmem/mbbouncekinda I made a quick structure with some chords. But i'm most interested in opinions on the melody, if it sounds generic, if it has a good groove etc. Also wondering about the part before the "drop". There are limited effects here, which i plan to add later. This took me about 1h 15-30min. enjoy mens))

Even though I pretty much never listen to electronic music this one is pretty good. That said, I personally prefer something "cleaner". I think if you made it a bit cleaner as in less stuff going on, it could be a hit.

Yeah, thanks man, i haven't bothered to mix that much on this one yet, so that's why it probably sounds pretty raw and "dirty". Or it could be soundcloud.

It's certainly not soundcloud. Most platforms use some form of compression but you should do it yourself. There are a lot of layers on the foreground all at the same time. You might want to add Reeverb to some areas to push it into the back layers, and change up your low end. It's kind of muddy. Did you use a sub bass?

Thank you for the reply. I had a small feeling that the lead was too crunchy and closed-in. Yes I use SERUM, where i added a sub and a bass in the same instance. That may be what is making it muddy, cuz i know it's not the kick clashing with the bass.

You can try sidechaining your bass with your sub bass, or moving your sub bass to a lower note/your bass to a higher note. In music, you can kind of see it as 3 layers, depth, so to say. In the front are your melodic elements, in the middle you have your drums and bass, and then you need to fill up that further area. You can push some of your chords for example with Reeverb 2 and size all the way to the back, making the beat more full and less muddy at the same time. You can also try panning, so you take up more stereo width!

Also, so you enjoyed the melody?

I have barely added effects at this point it's pretty stale yes. Hoped the melody could compensate for now, but I think i'll change up the lead.

I mean i aint the audience for this sort of music. I would not find it entertaining even if it was a finished song

Too much reverb in my opinion, especially in the 0:30s
