You can try sidechaining your bass with your sub bass, or moving your sub bass to a lower note/your bass to a higher note.
In music, you can kind of see it as 3 layers, depth, so to say.
In the front are your melodic elements, in the middle you have your drums and bass, and then you need to fill up that further area. You can push some of your chords for example with Reeverb 2 and size all the way to the back, making the beat more full and less muddy at the same time. You can also try panning, so you take up more stereo width!
