Pimp and EliGE on NA CS
South Africa LustedSilli - HLTV.org
Following the news of Ethan "Ethan" Arnold moving from EG's CS:GO roster to 100 Thieves' Valorant roster, Jacob "Pimp" Winneche and Liquid's Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski had a discussion about NA CS, how difficult it is for teams to play on another continent during these difficult times. The news: hltv.org/news/31280/ethan-leaves-evil-ge.. Pimp said: I feel super sorry for the entire EG roster spending months in Europe grinding CS in this hard time. You’d think that was with one common goal in mind. One not buying into the project is hard to ignore. Nothing but best wishes to Ethan, with his future career in Valorant, he good. EliGE followed up by explaining: "Don’t think it had anything to do with not believing. Spending that much time travelling is tough for anyone and that’s why you see every EU player that plays for an NA team go back eventually. I’m sure you can relate to your experience. And if players don’t want to spend more than half their year living in another country that’s their choice. I know when I started playing CS professionally moving to another continent (whether officially staying or spending a majority of your time there) was never in the footnote." Pimp responded by saying this is a fair point by EliGE. Check out the full discussion here: twitter.com/Pimp_CSGO/status/13660968933.. What's your opinion on the whole situation and NA CS teams during this difficult time?

poor pro players. have to sit whole day on their ass and play video games for 20k$ a month. must be so hard and stressful.

maybe because I didn't play games 10h everyday since I was a kid and not as good as them at moving and clicking mouse? Or you think pro players cuz they can click and aim faster it's hard and toxing job and they are somekind of heroes to you?

So basically you didn't dedicate as much time as them to getting good at something and now you are envious it worked out for them? Btw not all of them started playing as a kid.

what a dumb comment. of course their job is a dream job, but why the fuck wouldn't they pick the better option for themselves lmao? Like yes, they are in an insanely good position, playing video games and getting a shitton of money for it, but if they choose to be in a better position, who the fuck can blame them? It's about their future. CSGO is just a game, they don't have to stay "loyal" to this game at all, especially not to valve who doesn't seem to give a fuck. The NA CSGO scene is currently dying ffs. The future of NA CS does not look bright AT ALL, meanwhile NA Valorant scene is looking really bright. On top of that, Riot seems like a way more competent company than Valve. Waaaaay better communication with both the pro players and the player base, they seem to actually listen to feedback. Seems like they have less travel and overall just seems better for pro players. And they can play from their home country. I sadly disliked Valorant mechanics, but the rest is just everything I wish CS had.

“that’s why you see every EU player that plays for an NA team go back eventually” didn’t know CeRq wasn’t an NA player. It’s still generally true but maybe a mix team with an equal amount of each could work

I get their decision, but I feel like the skillceiling in valorant is so much lower. That's why he'll be playing with tier 2 csgo pros at best. Honestly I'm just sad, that actually good csgo players like auti, nitro and now ethan made the move valorant.
