I had been playing for over 100+ hours and play with 5-6 friends.
Valheim > ARK my correct opinion (ARK looks gonna dead game)

Literally ever MMO looks like crap because it needs to provide more content and needs to show so many things.
Every current MMO is old, but the most established ones are WoW, Final Fantasy 14 and Runescape. Any other aren't really good/established and imo, not worth your time.
I never played WoW, I played Runescape from 6-12 (with my brothers) and I have about a hundred hours on FFXIV. I REALLY enjoyed the latter. Definite +1.

Concurrence is rude nowadays, releasing a mmorpg has become super hard, I couldn't even mention a good one since 2004 (wow/dofus). In recent ones, I've heard Neverwinter is not so bad but it's kinda p2w, you have also Rift planes of idk and Guild Wars 2. I never played Final Fantasy so I couldn't tell.
I'm not up to date with the one Amazon develops, New World, but it looks like wow so much from what I know
You got Star Citizen if you think you won't die before its release, in its current state it's unplayable but if it was bug/desync free, it would be a great one even if it still lacks of content
You'll struggle to find a great new MMO. All the great ones were released in the mid 90s to late 00s. Every single one released after that (except ESO and BDO pre pay to win patch) have been carbon copies of existing ones or just blatant p2w cash grabs.

New ones that are good and innovative gameplay wise are P2W and therefore trash, also are asian and follow this excessive cuteness narrative.
What you do now is play old but gold MMO's, or you wait for miracle like RIOT MMO that'll happen in 2024+ and if you're lucky it'll be decent.
2 most viral Classic WoW expansions are upon arrival and everyone gonna be playing it.

other than this the only other decent one is WoW. Honestly it's gonna be until 2022-2023 for Riot's new MMO to be released which i'm hoping to be good.

MMO is, unfortunately, an outdated genre in developers' eyes. So you won't find too many new and good MMO games, maybe Black Desert Online or Elder Scrolls Online but even these games are 7 years old.
