At first I was like omg, some hippie shit. But in corona times my thoughts would go rambling on and on and on and just 2 weeks of doing daily meditation for 10 minutes, it would get more and more quiet. Do you practise meditation?

You can even do just 5 min a day if you are busy. 5 min (especially a breathing exercise) can already do wonders :)

You need to learn how to before you start. The important thing is to "take a step back" relax and observe how your brain automatic thinks about different things and just let it happen, dont stress over the thought you have or think that you need to stop them or think about something else. Be fine with the thoughts and you can even think about how funny it is that your brain works the way it does. Let the thoughts happen, observe and dont get emotional or attached to the thoughts.

yes i do practice, it's more like mental exercise and going meta over the mind but meditation doesn't help with sex/girls or money or happiness i can meditate and still be depressed so after years of pratice i've found that ppl adds features to it that aren't there just like no-fap movment and superpowers

can recommend CALM app, its awesome. and for the price of like 30€ a year, pretty nice to have for everyday relaxation.

Headspace is better by far imo, but im not gonna argue. I love headspace cuz its not only a meditation app, they give u tips and advices and even some videos for example for a better understanding of meditation and understanding why u doing this which is really good for a beginners who knows nothing bout meditation
