for some reason pros on t side stopped playing for bomb timer. probably a habit by now to fake and look for the kill instead of just sticking it because t will probably peek
because they are "pros" they think if they go first defuse until the end, they are not high iq, and a normal mm player.
Because they don't know EXACTLY how much time is left, sure if they have the 10 second warning music on and don't have a defuse kit, then it's obvious, but if they don't fake, they will just get killed by the T, whereas if they do fake, they can kill him and maybe have enough time to win with a defuse kit. Simple as.
some pros legit play for stats and would rather lose the round and get the kill than potentially win the round but know that you will 100% die
guys like tarik will always stick it for the sake of the team and will always try to win a round no matter if it seems impossible like a 1v4 on 7-7 end of half kind of thing
Completely dependant on the clutch situation and the player's decision at the time.
because either way round is over.. it's not like other player is going to miss his shots
they could lose with luck or win. It is smarter to get the kill and then defuse or save.
Because they are prolly going to get shot no matter what, it would be better to get off the bomb and get the kill, than to stay on the bomb with a low chance or sticking it and a high chance of dying without a fight. Honestly, there is no great option if the round gets to this point.
because they look too dumb when they try to stick it and the enemy just peek and kill him
"hoping the enemy fails his shot or
don't peak (which would be foolish)"
"(would be foolish)"
you answered yourself
because theres usually no chance that they don't get killed (they will stick it if they have a smoke). Since they play against pros, the enemies arent idiots who will let you stick it or miss their shots. Instead its just guarenteeing that the enemy cant survive and to get kill reward/ prevent them from getting kill reward.
If they know they lost and take one with them, might deal a few thousand dollar in damage, maybe no awp next round etc.
To do economical damage or boost stats I suppose
Thats a good question my friend. Its a mental thing and fail at same time. For example pro's do mistakes like other players. Now about mentality, at higher levels pros can do some really good shots, so they naturally in give up mode sometimes when they in unwinnable position of that kind, they get destroyed so much on some angles, that they lose faith in trying to win round. You would understand them a bit if you cant get single kill sometimes when you are in winning position, so when you cornered like that you just have no hope at all.
