ESL better have a better production

ESL Pro league 13 will last for a whole month, there are 24 teams, most of which are in the top 30, and the prize pool is 750,000$. It will really be an insane tournament if they have Blast-like production, and not like the last IEM, where they had interface bugs, weird and cringy casters, and the B stream was full of bug. I remember trying to watch the Col - Vitality match on stream B and we didn't see guns on the screen for 5 rounds, the audio had 1 second of delay for the whole match.. Then later we didn'thave sound at all for 3 rounds.

You know what would make this event even better? If it was on LAN.

But it's impossible to fly out 8-12 team in less than a week, it's almost like this was going to happen

Blast is the richest tho

honestly i dont see why people are hyping up blast so much. i enjoy watching blast and all, just as i am enjoying watching every ESL production. however, i feel like people dont point out the flawes in blasts events compared to its competitors.

Sure there were flaws in Blast too I'm not denying it. I'm just saying it's sad to not have good esl production knowing they are pretty rich.

well i do think the esl production is good. sure the b and c stream of katowice wasnt good, but what can you expect when you have to do the whole play ins in 2 days. Pro league will only have 1 stream i expect so production quality will overall be a lot better than katowice. imo better then blast but thats just my opinion.

You do have a nice point, I think production will be better since as you said it is on the span of a whole month, and surely after the criticism last event they will be more prepared.

Esl only has the cleaner UI look( and they ruined it lately too much clutter) and GOAT commentators

People hype it because: 1. Blast has the best casters. Scrawny and Launders are the best for me and a lot of other people. And Anders and Semmler are good as well (I'm not a fan of Semmler though). 2. Analyst desk. I cannot emphasize how important it is to have a good analyst desk in CS. You have ten players on the server meaning a lot of different stuff happens on a match. Having a good desk that has both the CS knowledge and the ability to properly convey it is very important. Pre and post-match interviews are particularly important (particularly the latter). Asking the right questions or rather asking what the audience wants to know is key even if sometimes they must be tough questions. Blast excels at all this while ESL is meh at best. Maniac is by far the best analyst CSGO has. Pimp is great as well. 3. Content. It seems looked a bit into Blast and tried but IMO failed. I personally have no interest in watching surf maps. Blast has completely nailed this aspect. They put players through every type of mechanical challenge, they have trivias, skin-related stuff, etc. With ESL, I just mute the stream until a match starts. I feel like Blast has much better observers. During Katowice, I felt like I missed a lot of highlights because the observer missed them. The best thing ESL has at the moment is the Machine+SPUNJ casting duo. I still prefer Scrawny and Launders but they are great.

i understand with your points, but i almost cannot disagree more with most of them. lets just agree to disagree :)

It seems ESL are going to fix their issues... well hopefully. They released this where they identified their B/C stream issues and how they tried to do content etc. pro.eslgaming.com/tour/2021/03/ept-csgo-..

Yeah that's what I thought at first too. But as #13 pointed out to me, they seem to have been working on some of the issues they had and are trying to better the production.

Which casters were cringe? I thought most of them were good. Nothing beats machine and spunj though.

The new duo of jay and dweg was pretty annoying to listen too imho. The rest is fine and I agree, machine and spunj rn are the best.
