if you start watching cs go like from 2019 then yea liquid > navi, but its cs go of all time and here navi > liquid for sure, navi always play major playoff 3 or 4 times played in finals win more events
Even with amazing 2019 year for liquid they for real win only 2 elite events cologne and epl and that only elite events that liquid won in entire history, others like sydney chicago dh masters didnt include all top team no navi and astralis on all this events, navi in last 2 years also won 2 elite events blast and katowice, they won back in 2018 cologne, and new york in 2017

even tho that i agree with you overall that navi should be above liquid i have to disagree that liquid won only 2 elite events. its not their fault that navi and astralis were skipping events that year here and there...they won 6 big events in a row and all events had pretty good competition overall and were considered as elite events

sydney didnt have 2 top-3 teams 3 top-5 and 5 top-10, would call that as elite event, yep big event but not elite
dh dallas didnt have navi astralis yea might be consider as elite event but it's 50/50
chicago blast and ibp wasnt close to be elite events with 6-8 teams in event and not all top teams
Astralis and navi and other few top team skip event cuz they wasnt that prestige located somewhere like AU or NA with mediocere prize pool that why they skip it and thats why i think they not elite

I think being stable tier 1 team for 2 years is better than winning 1 fluke major, so I would pick vitality over c9 (maybe g2 but no)
people crying that lg/sk are 2 don't understand that lg/sk were a better team than fnatic in terms of form. they weren't as dominant but at their peak they were stronger

domination over the rest of competition and more achievments is surely way more valuable than slightly better peak form which was inconsistent AF.

Navi is prime example of what choking in CSGO looks like. They have been to so many major finals and gets brutally beaten up every single time.

1. Astralis obviously, feats speak for themselves
2. Fnatic, were dominant for a fairly long time, second to Astralis in my mind, in addition to having the second most majors
3. LG/SK, 1-2 years of high dominance, but fizzled out quickly and struggled to have any other major achievements. Only reason they're above NIP is because competition was higher during their dominance
4. NIP, the OG NIP had the highest peak above every other team (at the time), but a lot of that can be outweighed by the lack of major competition at the time
5. Navi, consistently high caliber team, being number one numerous times since CSGO's intro to pro League, even with no major victories in Csgo they're definitely a top 5 team of all time
6. VP, the polish team were absolutely fantastic to watch and had their moments of complete dominance, plus a major win. And with their name having a resurgence this year, they've definitely proven they're a top team of all time
7. Liquid, imo close to VP, with a higher peak of dominance over harder competition it's hard, but the fact that VP has a major and a classic team sets them slightly ahead
8. LDLC/Envyus, I'm only putting them so low because I don't know too much about them, other than major winners and KennyS' peak. Probably deserve higher, I just don't know enough
9. C9, although their "dominance" never really came, as winners of (imo) the most entertaining/greatest Major event ever, they deserve a spot
10. Faze, would looooove to see them higher come this year, but they have a lot of massive names with not a lot of trophies to back it up

In 2017 alone did they not have like 9 first place tier 1 tournaments, the rest being 2nd or 3rd? Similar to Astralis the following year

2016 - attended 14 big tournaments, won 3. they werent able to win even 2 big events in a row. back to back major and the best team of the year but dominant? nowhere near that
2017 - attended 16 big events, won 6. the longest winning streak was 2 events, 0 majors and they had actually pretty big amount of bad or average=not good enough for the best team(i mean semifinal is still good achievment. i dont want to take anything from them but its kinda dissapointment for the best team if you know what i mean) events like:
bad - 11-12 katowice, 9-11 starseries, 9-12 eleague
average/below average(for their standards) - 5-8 pgl krakow major+malmo, 3-4 eleague major+esl pro league+esl new york+iem oakland. the only second place that they had was dh las vegas.
with that being said they were the best team of both years ofc but is this rly dominant? in my book it isnt...
