nah astralis without es3tag = becomes top 1 heroic without es3tag = becomes much better
2021-03-08 05:23
Once more astralis just show us how much they are clever... They played around esetag to bring him stats and confidence, then they selled 1M, and now everyone can see Once again that the most important is not the player but the team

I mean c9 has a lot more problems than es3tag not carrying when he was bought as support
2021-03-08 09:04
Why 600k player have to be the carry for 2.1M and 1.5M player

He can bring other value in team like support and clutches. ALEX is igl
2021-03-08 10:18
Probably because the Astralis system under zonic and gla1ve is 100x better than whatever ALEX is doing with Clown9. He should be a support player, not a star, main AWPer or entry fragger.

Damn ALEX is pretty bad lurker and es3tag looking like he diesnt know what he is doing
2021-03-08 05:46
He shouldn't be awping at all in c9. The team has also changed roles for multiple players as well as changing players in their short time together. They will be fine if they can stay together and work on things for 3-6 months. If they are still failing around September, major roster overhauls, mainly -ALEX will be required.

Wow - an actual fair analysis - how dare you? Agree btw (also on ALEX) - es3tag on awp is not ideal. He is 2nd awp. And that he was so good in Astralis was because he had the best team in the world making him the best he could be - and his top level is actually pretty solid

Playing in a better system alongside better players with a not so demanding role made someone else look better too, who would have thought?

I mean he has the talent for it. Bubzkji for example looked kinda shit on lot of the matches. Problem is c9 just dont work half the time...

Bubzkji hasn't been integrated into Astralis's system to be judged upon unlike Esetag , he wasn't bad either in the first few maps he played.

He was okay in few maps and super shit on others. Thats not really great for guy that carried flashpoint 1 Edit: hltv.org/stats/players/matches/9612/bubz..

Playing one map and then sitting for the rest of the 2 isn't justice to a guy with talent like his. Esetag in comparison was playing whole BO3 series rather than filling on a handful of maps. Astralis are yet to give Boobski a proper chance to showcase his talent, not to mention he isn't a flexible or versatile guy like Esetag who can adjust himself in any position.

Look at the start. he was playing other maps aswell and was good or shit i remember how astralis lost to nip on inferno only because of him. "not to mention he isn't a flexible or versatile guy like Esetag who can adjust himself in any position." Also helps my point. bubzkji had 1 job for last 6 months play nuke well and he is kinda doing it but not good enough since xyp is back in roster. (for nuke too) At this point i feel like astralis should just release him / sell him. I dont feel like they will get something out of him and this way he is practically useless on their bench.

Holding ramp on Nuke is one of the toughest jobs in the game, similar to B anchorer on Mirage. It is also something that he didn't solely and dedicatedly played for before in his Tricked/Mad Lions time so he was being forced to play out of his comfort zone and like I said, guy isn't a big situation adapter. I agree with the notion that Astralis should either give him a full fledged time on the roster for once or just get rid of him, pretty sure it's the later they are hoping to achieve. But he has been subjected to criminal injustice from the Astralis side by wasting away his time and making him the shit player on the few maps he did play.

Holding ramp is tough spot but i think palying hut on A is worse that said he still was underwhelming when his sole job was to play only nuke and only 1 position. He puts the hours in but he still "doesnt" deliver on that spot. On othe rhand astralis is in a slump so its logical his performance wont be great.

+1 It was pretty clear astralis was really good with es3 which showed 2 things basically: That he is good player And that xyp could be replaced.
2021-03-08 09:23
wise words.
2021-03-08 09:15
Actually he just returned to his usual Heroic performance. If you remember he always was lowtab player. His Astralis run is just a fluke.
2021-03-08 09:14
he has to play as awper ... he isnt an awper
2021-03-08 09:17
Making him an Awper was the biggest mistake then could have made. A Awper should be someone who can carry the game, someone reliable. But es3tag is a support player, who is awping. Idk what cloud9 is doing but make it stop. Let xeppa or Floppy awp. They atleast have some experience in awping.
2021-03-08 09:33
literally said this since day one. was he good pre-astralis? no why would he be good post-astralis?
2021-03-08 09:40
Everyone Gangsta until you play in astralia
2021-03-08 09:43
Average lvl 6 and nothing more than that FOR REAL
2021-03-08 09:44
Ast never questioned if xyp would be back - but shows how 1 player may not make such big difference in any team
2021-03-08 09:50
You know what C9 reminds me of? Duplicity This trailer looks decent, but this is the worst movie I've ever seen, it's SO INCREDIBLY BORING.
2021-03-08 09:54
Overrated player in the first place, but playing in a team with no igl doesn't help.
2021-03-08 10:24
Free 2 mil for astralis after first tourney with es3tag EZ PROFIT😎
2021-03-08 10:28
Es3tag just had honey moon period in astralis and had so much pressure to perform in world best team to keep his place. As time would go his form would drop eventually even in astralis im pretty sure.
2021-03-08 10:38
Anyone would like good under Astralis
