Gambit is some kind of kryptonite for other cis teams, while that fpx seemed to be their kryptonite. VP can plow through everyone on the server: Liquid, Astralis, Furia, Vitality just to get destroyed by gambit, Spirit can 16-1 Astralis and lose 2-0 to gambit, or lose to them and end up winning the whole thing, because fpx somehow eliminated them
2021-03-08 12:59
FPX attended 2 events with chrisJ: DreamHack January EU, and Snow Sweet Snow 1, coming 2nd then 1st, beating gambit 2-1 in both tournaments.
2021-03-08 12:50
They won Snow sweet snow cup which has some decent teams and they won quite a bit of cash But who cars cuz they kick GODJ!
2021-03-08 13:11
they got to the final vs spirit and got 3-0d lmao

yeah, but they didn't change IGL the most important role in any team.
2021-03-08 12:34
Changing awper is the same as changing IGL? OK
2021-03-08 13:00

They didnt kick ChrisJ. They used ChrisJ on loan but when they wanted to contract him, they didn't have enough money and the deal fell through. They're only using SunNy as a stand-in.

I doubt that was a money issue, mouz wouldn't ask a fortune for a benched player and fpx is a big org. Hope they get chrisJ again after his contract expires

Edit: It could have been an issue in contract other than money. Maybe ChrisJ had to move again or his hours or anything else was conflicting.

Flusha and NBK are both contracted and they didn't want to loan them, I believe. MSL and Lucky... Have they ever been in an international team before, even not as an igl?

suNny is just a stand-in, and ChrisJ was just a loanee, who didn't agree with terms on contract after loan... It's not too hard to understand, is it?

Too much IQ to understand things like this...
2021-03-08 12:54
STYKO just confirmed it's a permanent move, suNny will transition to being their IGL full time after EPL but at the moment they are just using him to fill the gap. Edit: and honestly it's horseshit, this team will obviously crumble, no offence to suNny but I just don't think he will be a great IGL.

So, they didn't sign chrisJ (with him they took top1 on SWS tournament and top2 on DreamHack) but they decided to sign suNny who was horseshit as IGL in ENCE? Nice moves tho.

Where did he confirm this?

Interview inbetween the first & second map of the series, after k0nfig prime 6 roster. Edit: adding that I'm talking about the live stream on twitch happening now, where coL is facing FPX. So if you want to look for your source just check the break between map 1 & 2 there.
