I was wondering what's the mm rank where you can find the most smurf accounts in your opinion?
I have no problems in reaching sherif but once in that rank I found a lot of steam level 0-1, 400hrs and those kind of things so I assume they are smurfs

and who is delusional and esimate here, 5k hours, global/sup, but if you start a new acc, gl with your experience :) mostly smurfs and cheaters, that's an empirical fax

Tell my why would a supreme go to the trouble of making a smurf acc and going to mge - le? If you are dogshit at the game, at least make a better excuse than "supreme smurfing 2 ranks lower"

Because they are either globals or faceit lvl6< . I get your point but I seriously doubt that a supreme would go through all the trouble to play two ranks lower.

I used to have 5 accounts, 4 of them simultaneous global around 2016-17.
All the accounts had to be grinded to global and I got fed up playing in global since the challenge isn't really that much bigger but there is absolutely no reward in winning a game in global. You can't rank up, only down. That's why I ended up playing several accounts to global. You can't reach GE immediately and in cases of some of the accounts, they're owned by a friend of mine..
He started CSGO when the 2 match wins/day bs came. He played 2 wins and bought a new account to continue playing afterwards.
And by my experience, there's a shitton of smurfs likewise to my experience. Some try to grind ELO to sell accounts, others just do it because GE is boring and some are afraid of losing their MM rank on their main especially if they play with lower skilled IRLs and then there are the boosters..

Didn't think about it that way at all. First thing that came to mind was people smurfing to pwn others. Thanks for reminding that other smurfing exists too :D (or D: idk in this case)

It is fun though. Im supreme in mm yet silver 3 in wingman. Pretty fun to outplay everyone once in a while.

True, but it doesn't elevate your skill really when you take a opponent who doesn't have the capability to respond to your plays or even the slightest of chances to out-play you. It's fun occasionally and I did enjoy grinding my accounts to global at the time but there is a point when it just starts to feel mundane and you get so much more out of playing with better than decent players and playing together against opposition that can match you.

Literally cannot understand why you would continue playing MM after hitting global alone in 2020. Just play faceit/ESEA etc you'll get better opposition/self improvement.

I did not say 2020. :) I specifically said 2016-2017. I've only played the occasional matches of MM after that. Also, I specified that in that time I did not prefer playing Faceit over MM because I had a sub-par setup and connection which put me at a drastic disadvantage in FaceIt and it was not a pleasure to play, for me.

Also, the sub-par connection and set-up is a) insane you made global with and b) usually not a thing most globals face (no stats just educated guess about how much advantage set up gives to reach highest rank)

Yeah true, but in 2016 it was different. Not everyone especially in MM had a 144Hz display for example. Obviously a good setup has always been a advantage, but then a bad setup wasn't AS BIG of a disadvantage and I've played all iterations of CS, guess that'd give you a edge. =)
I don't play nearly enough MM to comment on todays situation.
I'm LEM but sometimes i play with my bro's silver account with his friends silvers/novas sometimes i q with my friends with theirs smurfs or mains so ye after the game you can see sth like silver 4 silver 2 dmg nova who's shooting good etc. There are a lot of cheaters but smurfs too but if you decent at the game you can see who's cheating and who's not by movement peeks and so on.

+1 how are you 'smurfing' if the ranking system doesn't have a rank that matches your skill that's not your fault
with sherif i'm guessing you're meaning dmg? anyway from what i've gatherd mg1-dmgs smurf in gn ranks and le-globals smurf in mg ranks, now you have to remember 50% of people in higher ranks are boosted silvers, so some "smurfs" are actually boosted people playing their actual rank

One time the game ranked me in silver because my rank decayed (was dmg). I could win every duel on reaction time and aim alone. I find that it gets tough at around supreme level. LEMs are easy for me, globals and supremes are hard.

Idk I try not to think that way. If someone is better than me I try to work on my game, even if they are using cheats. Not that I am great as a lvl4 but playing against hard opponents really helps me improve.
I dont see the point of smurfing.. I mean you are going to win and probably have great k/d but you know that's not your level and you are not actually helping your friends either because when they play without you they will probable lose and also ruin others players match because they are in a higher rank than they deserve

I think you hit the nail on the head to why NA CS struggled so much historically against strong EU teams. So much time seemed to be spent streaming random ESEA/Faceit pugs stomping non-pros or even playing MM. "hahah im so good destroying these noobs running around the map no brain"
Then this type of playstyle bled into the style of NA scrims leading to very ineffective practice. Compare scrim meta in EU vs NA.

It's better to face smurf actually, atleast you can analyze their movement and crosshair placement, but when i faced cheater, my team and i just throw the whole game

I know, I wish the trust factor stuff works better. I wish valve add to csgo mm the same they have on dota2 ranked. If you want to play a mm match then you need at least a certain amount of hours on the game, not just dm, they shoud add something like a non ranked matches and spend 100hrs there before mm

ofc there will be smurfs and cheaters there aswell, I'm fine with people choosing to play mm, but complaining about smurfs/cheaters in 2021 annoys me. Everone knows that pretty much anyone can cheat on mm. With either small effort of browing cheat forums or small amount of money for mm cheats possible, why would you not switch to faceit/esea even if your game experience just gets a little bit better?
Yes i agree, mm is so so outdated everyone should just go play faceit, even free version is 100x better than mm.
