OG 5th player
 |
Russia ADisAsstah
Okay let's face it this isn't ropz. TLDR: expensive, og are poor, prac data+0 leaks, twitter hints; My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Proof: They have pracced with someone under the same alias(and supposedly they have pracced with someone else (or the same person but with different nickname)once) for 2 days now, and there is 0 news about Mouz looking for ropz replacement (like it was when Karrygan wasn't signing a new contract); Their twitter account has already hinted that 5th player is to be announced soon and i bet it would take a while to negotiate ropz's contract; OG as a CS:GO org is known to not be ready to pay huge buyouts and ropz is worth a lot — there are rumours circulating that are pointing to the fact that his buyout is at least a million. Who it is then? Whoever it is I am actually really disappointed they can't afford or won't go for ropz. Laugh all you want but this team'd be major winning material. I don't want to say i don't care who it is, but i feel like it. Gonna judge that final player real hard if it flops like a lot of og tournament runs (1 good, 1 last place bomb out, a good one again and several trash ones). GO FOR ROPZ FFS )=

I assume orgs are budgeted in a way where a certain games recieves a certain budget, meaning even though OG's rich cause of dota, it doesen't mean that the CS part of the org has alot of money.

Yea OG chose a super dumb time to bench 2 players, Niko being available was super lucky They should have just got some fpl aim star and benched ISSAA until Jordan lifted travel restrictions and could actually bootcamp and have waited until people's contracts start expiring before making proper changes Right now they are really limited in who they can go for, there's like only 3-4 people who could fit and they aren't the greatest ever either

They should sign some t2 team's star player just like CoL went for jks. Flamez is the only option in that regard. Risky but might work out in the end (just like it did for CoL)

That isn't the companies finances, that's just prize winnings (most of that goes to the players anyways). Orgs earn money from sponsorships, merchandise sales, TV deals with the leagues they compete in, media presence, and other various things. Plus, even if OG were the richest org in the world, that doesn't mean they want to invest serious cash in CSGO.

Why couldn't he have a match in 17 hours and what other players have been hinted?
2021-03-20 19:09
4 replies
A match in 17 hrs means he's still committed to his team. There'll be rumors like endpoint looking for a replacement or some shit. Like when was the last time you saw a player bitch his team without any word? Nivera was long hinted to leave before he actually left. Same with others
2021-03-20 19:11
3 replies
Of course he is commited to his team when he's still in contract for them. He's a professional. Back in 2019 when it was public that Aleksib will be benched, he still played the Major. Were there rumors when Heroic replaced their players for example? No. "Without any word" What? :D OG and ENDPOINT will negotiate and make the transfer happen, if it will happen. +Do you think the org and player would get mad if their player gets an opportunity from a top org?
2021-03-20 19:21
2 replies
Dude when a player is poached from lower tier team, it doesn't happen so silently. Nivera, bubz are all recent example. Flamez seems committed for now. Of course he's a professional and can leave/bought out but with so little time left before og announce their 5th, it's highly unlikely (not impossible) especially if they announce within a week
2021-03-20 19:33
1 reply
"FlameZ seem to be commited for now" ^That would mean that he wouldn't accept OG's offer because he's committed to ENDPOINT project. He'll play for ENDPOINT until he has been bought out. That has not happened yet. He has been in the try outs. And OG will definitely not announce their fifth within a week when they've been just running try outs the last four days. They have plenty of time to decide etc. but for now, it's looking like FlameZ is their number one choice.
2021-03-20 19:45
ropz has his contranct end in this month, so... But I think ropz not gonna be good addition for them. He's always doing some solo plays and he's playing for himself at the most of the times. In OG he won't have the same prevelegies, ISSAA had the same role like ropz (luker), but he had not a lot of space unlike ropz in mouz

They should just get a young FPL player with huge potential and develop him into a somewhat of star player. They clearly want this CS team to be a long term success and taking a small risk on a relatively unknown player with potential would make a lot of sense. And since they don't have to pay that much for someone like that they could just get a new one if it didn't work out.

Of course I have "idea". You watch orgs' statistics and you notice that OG is not even near top ten. Then you think what these orgs have in common: - Mutiple top tier teams - Streamers - Strong social media presence - Quality merch and big merch sales - Possibly owned by big companies "Where did I say OG is rich?" This reply below gives me extremely stong vibes that you think otherwise when I stated that OG is not a rich org: "Where the hell you get this information?" ^But I quess you think they're not a rich org then?
