Playoffs

So 3 out of the 4 groups have almost finished (there are a few more rounds to be played from the Furia - Gambit match at the time of the writing). In the first round of the playoffs there will be 4 duels between the 4 second placed teams and the 4 third placed teams. Do you have any idea how they will be paired? Until now we have: Group A: Complexity (2nd), FPP (3rd) Group B: ENCE (2nd), G2 (3rd) Group C: Furia (most likely 2nd), Navi (3rd) Prediction for Group D: 2nd: Virtus Pro 3rd: fnatic (with Astralis top) So I repeat the question: how are these teams going to be paired in the first round of the playoffs?

OK, ignore the prediction. Do you have an answer to my question? How are they going to be paired?

Nope, I am not sure. It's most likely a random allocation of the remaining groups' 2nd/3rd placed team. It's always 2nd vs 3rd however. So, for every team ranked 2nd, one of the remaining 3 3rd ranked teams (own group excluded) will be randomly selected.

I think same

Just take out Fnatic and there we go

The 4 group winners will proceed to the Play-In stage (single elimination bracket), where the winners advance to the playoff semi-finals and the losing teams go to the 3rd round of playoffs. But for the 2nd and 3d places in the tournament description they only say that: The 2nd and 3rd placed teams of each group will go to the first round of the playoffs. But 2nd place from Group A plays (Complexity) plays against which 3rd place team, etc?

yes, the number 2 will go vs the number 3 of another group, as this will give advantage to be 2nd place instead of 3rd

Quite a noob question, but why is negative round difference ranking higher than positive round difference. For example Furia is over Navi in Group C, but Navi have a higher round difference. Can anyone explain that please? :D

Cuz it's H2H and Navi lost 2x0 to Furia?

liquipedia.net/counterstrike/ESL/Pro_Lea.. 1st place teams will play a separate play-in, winners will go to semi-finals, losers go to quarter-finals 2nd and 3rd placed teams will play each other Who plays who will probably be decided when the 4th group is done
2021-03-24 22:18
Astralis vs Gambit and Heroic vs Nip play to allready qualify for the semis losers goes to quater finals 2nd and 3rd teams will play eachother but we don't know yet who is going to play who, or how the bracket is going to look
