why is no one believing that xeppaa, floppy or mezii won't just switch to c9 valorant? Edit: They are 1. already on contract 2. Xeppaa and floppy are friends with leaf 3. who tf is gonna pick up mezii (he has gotten good money from cs i dont think he would want to go back to t2) 4. cs isn't healthy rn

dude if a whole fucking continent isn't healthy, the whole scene is going to be affected Like it or not NA is the biggest market in cs (they aren't the best, which is why is frustrating they matter so much), they have the biggest orgs in the world, and a huge ass fanbase

If they are so important why does ESL seem so non interested in NA falling apart and creating a very EU-centric system? Surely ESL would cater to NA if it was so important. Most of the big NA esports orgs arent CS orgs to begin with also

EU is obviously the most important since its the best EU doesn't even have the biggest fanbase tho Some EU countries don't even play cs anymore (in terms of the young ones) like Sweden BUT NA is really fucking important to CS as a whole, obviously, since it is/was the 2nd biggest region in cs NA also has a bigger market for growth compared to EU and its sad to see valve not care about this game CS makes them billions Valve puts 1 mill into the scene NA dying is a grim ass sign to CS and the current NA teams need to succeed in order to show NA orgs that CS is something they should have

I will answer you line for line. 1. I agree 2. If we are talking CS only, then I don't agree 3. I agree it's important 4. Also true, EU still has room for growth also tho. 5. Yes 6. I agree that Valve should do more, and they are too lazy, or atleast appear to be. Atleast they should interact more with the community like Riot does. 7. Probably also true.

Especially when lans can be hald in NA again the time is better to watch for them as well and mb some teams start grinding again tbh

Valve never pushed into Asian markets You know, the BIGGEST market in the world? Literally, a 1.6 clone was bigger than CSGO in Asia before Valorant came around Maybe put more than 1 million dollars into 2 majors a year? Cuz CS obviously doesn't make Valve billions right? Maybe put some of that Dota attention into CSGO, cuz you know CS is the bigger game? Maybe promote the esports more, cuz obviously they want to promote dumbass, 5-year-old level of drawing, stupid-looking stickers on their Twitter that has 1 million followers?

lmfao your first line is "the fuck do you want valve to do?" I literally said what I want/wanted them to do not specifically about NA but about the scene as a whole I do not think the points I made there were wrong or any way arguable Na is fucked and I don't know what to do about that shitstorm but for CS as a whole, valve has fucked up, HARD

CS is doing just fine without NA. All cs needs from NA is Team Liquid. Also there's no point to push into Asia. You can't force those weebs to like anything but LoL and Starcraft. CS is still the top dog of the steam charts and we never had the support of Asia. Why the fuck should we care about them now lol.

you were literally exclusively talking about na cs, did I really have to phrase my first sentence as 'the fuck do you want valve to do about na cs?' even though the only context in the entire line of conversation was NA cs and the 'apparent importance of it'? can your pseudo-intellectual brain not understand the context of your own conversation lol? anyway, I'm not arguing the Asian point because I don't want to since I don't really have an opinion. The only thing that I have to say is that you have to remember when it comes to regional promotion CSGO was originally meant to be a console game. They've actually done quite a bit in the last few years to help the Chinese cs market. (which they didn't even have to because again I'll mention that Valve didn't intend for CSGO to be the game it is today and the entire circuit is just what the community built for decades) for the scene as the whole, you're basically just kinda arguing that valve should've franchised their game despite cs being an open circuit for decades built up by the community rather than the developer. Valve doesn't invest millions into the cs majors because they don't control their circuit for the game and never have to be honest. Why would they waste money on a circuit they don't control which is doing fine by itself? You can only argue that Valve didn't have fucking hindsight in 2012 to market their game better and they could do more to help the esports scene nowadays (which is a fair point) but saying shit like 'valve don't care about cs' is just fucking wrong lol.

never did I argue that a franchised league would be beneficial to cs clearly, you didn't read what I said either u dumbass I literally argued that valve should put more money into the scene, which I don't understand how you could be happy for one of the biggest esports in the world to have such small prize pools compared to other tier 1 esports Who tf will the Chinese players watch? There are literally 0 t1 t2 t3 or t4 teams that have Chinese players, so their presence is cs is literally to buy skins, but not watch the game itself

its not beneficial for valve to invest money into prize pools and anyway, the teams and players receive all the money from stickers and shit so its not like the money that is given to valve just goes straight into their pocket. if we added sticker revenue to the prize pool it would be a lot more money. valve literally rereleased the game through perfect world in china, they have always cater to Asian qualifiers giving two Asian teams spots at the major twice every year and were going to hold a major in china before the coronavirus despite Asia having one decent team at the time, the problem with Asian CS is not with valve. if you weren't suggesting a franchised league then what else? putting a few extra bucks into the major prize pool achieves nothing.

didnt they all get really long contracts? Like 3 years for Alex. If he wants to he can just eat Cheese Nachos every day until he becomes Snax. No one will pay a buyout for any of these, maybe e5etag and Xeeepaaa. They'd have to have some sort of a disband clause or mutually agree to end the contract.

Xeppa or Floppy to EG instead of Stanislaw and let Tarik IGL, I think that would be the best move they could do right now, but they just changed players, just like mouz, so I don't think any changes will happen any time soon. C9 players are now stuck on high buy-outs, they will warm the bench for a loooooooong time
2021-03-29 01:27
Every move you suggested was bad except for Movistar riders maybe, idk much about shokz though. Stewie tarik bymas and dexter aren't getting replaced anytime soon.
2021-03-29 01:54
Mouz never wants to pay a lot of money and now you want them to get one of the most expensive players available? If floppy and xeppaa do not get an offer from the T1 team, they will probably go to Valorant.
