OG wont sign FlameZ
 |
Europe Niko0
Or rather they will sign FlameZ if they can't get the price right with Ropz. If Mouz budges, then FlameZ stays in t2. Source: Trust me bro

first of all if you were born christian or are a hasidic jew you dont have to enlist but if you have only recently become more religious than you have to get people to vouch for you and get some kind of test i think after that you get a psychological evaluation to try and spot the liers

"G2 labeled the move as the "biggest CSGO signing in history," and that's not really hyperbole. NiKo's transfer to FaZe in 2017 was worth $500,000 and this transfer to G2 is likely worth even more." After that, NiKo went on to be the best player on FaZe, almost won a major and became even better. This is FaZe we are talking about. Ropz has been part of Mouz since 2015 and has been a top 3 rifler. If es3tag was 2.2, Ropz is 3-5 at least.

Es3tag was obviously overpriced, he was thought to be a huge talent and Cloud9 thought he could fill the star role. "worth $500,000 and this transfer to G2 is likely worth even more" 500k is pretty far off 5 mil

Let's say OG don't want to buy him. Who else is going to buy him? It's not that Ropz can't find a team obviously but what other org can outpay OG that's willing to enter the scene or need a team?

A lot of orgs can outpay OG, since OG is not that rich. Any org above OG in the ranking is more rich than OG, but nobody will want to buy OG. He simply doesn't fit into any team, other than Liquid, EG, FaZe or Complexity, but they aren't willing to spend it or change their lineup. RIP Ropz.

They got 25 million just from earnings in Dota - Tax obviously That's the second highest of any org. The OG brand is quite valuable. I am aware they aren't in the top 13 richest orgs.

They indeed won 2 TI with their dota team, but that was 2018 and 2019 (2 years ago), all their Dota players and staff take a big chunk as earnings, salaries need to be paid. They didn't win any substantial money in CS:GO, and who knows where their money is? Dota, rather than CS:GO, as they only branched out a year ago with a very cheap roster.

Winning 2 TI has much more value then just the prize pool earnings, that shiss get's you fans. Fans that buy clothing, that support the team etc. That should easily make up for the salary Prize Pool winnings are not what orgs gain the majority from, it's sponsorships. I bet you a NA/EU team with 2 TI that shiss get's you sponsorships alright. I don't think we really know how much money OG is worth, that's the problem.

Sure fans buy merch, but it's not big compared to others: ogs.gg/shop/ shop.vitality.gg/?lang=en Sure they are sponsored by Red Bull, but really. Look at the CS:GO team with which they branched into. Is that proof of a rich org? Big tournament spots? Big buyouts?
2021-04-08 14:46

They played in a lot of "Popularity contest/Buyout events" which should be an indicator of wealth. Astralis didn't even get invited. Red Bull is probably one of if not the best sponsor you can have as an org. We don't know how high their buyouts are, but OG is famous for getting scraps and making money from it. It's like Cloud9 what "Big rosters" did they buy??? The colosus? That was cheaper then NiKo alone.
2021-04-08 14:49

While I agree, look at their roster they bought. Look at the replacements (niko, flamez/michu). Sign of wealth? I don't think so. I think the staff redirect the money to their Dota2 division, with enough for their CS:GO squad to play.
2021-04-08 14:49

Niko as far as we know, was not cheap. besides they had rumored paychecks for 20k a month. The north roster got the same and look at that "Raw power" they payed for.
2021-04-08 14:51
OG do not utilize their fanbase well. "Buy clothing, support the org etc." What value support brings and what is the et cetera?
2021-04-08 22:16
I would say that for 100K, FlameZ could have his value "increased" playing for OG, they could sell him for more money in a few months, but yeah ropz is may more consistent rn. But I do think FlameZ can achieve a nice level of gameplay.

OG ropz started as a meme, when did people start taking it seriosly. There's never been actual proof that they ever even tried to sign him. Besides if mouz want to have a serious t1 cs team, it would be a stupid move if they let player like ropz go. Ropz definitely would have delivered in OG no doubt, but the mouz cs team has been built around ropz for years now and I think they want to keep it that way As an OG fan I'm happy with flameZ, he is young player with great potential.
