Travelling to Europe
 |
United States FrostyGG
So when lockdown ends and I can travel, me and my mom are going to fly over to Europe again and sightsee. I've already gone to London and I've seen everything there is to see, (I'm an arsenal fan so that's kinda the main reason I went there), but I want to see what you guys think are the best cities to sightsee and travel to in Europe and why because I need more than the London Tower

It is still one of the worst neighbourhoods in the city but don't believe the hype, it is still perfectly safe to go there. The problems are mainly between rival drug gangs and within the local community (protection rackets etc). I wouldn't go there on holiday though! Stockholm is very nice though.

i was done with oslo center after 15minutes...facts and dont lie gothenburg 2nd biggest city got 570k population and oslo 650 not even 100k diff stop tryharding and gothenburg city center is twice as big then oslo's thats just sad i would compare oslo center to jönköping honest to god

You are lying over and over again, previous census a quarter of a year ago Oslo had 697 010 people and Gothenburgh had: 583 056 (source: scb). Thats over 100k difference, so nt. What do city center have to do with the size of a city? Oslo is a much larger city in population - even in Area (km2). BTW it did not excatly take many minutes for me either to cross Inom Vallgraven and Nordstaden. Gothenburgh center is tiny aswell. With your logic, even our 6th largest city Kristiansand got the same size of the city center as Gothenburgh. jönköping got like 3 times less blocks than Kristiansand. haha what a joke you are. Btw not the first time I've seen a comment like #125 by you.

i have been in oslo my dude and it was PATHETIC you can talk all u want but as i said 15 minutes and ur down with oslo xDDD and kinda weird that u are comparing ur capitol city with our 2nd city nuff said, if you come here you will know what i mean, and also american exchange students whos been to oslo and copenhagen cannot stop saying that oslo is SOOO tiny PS: oslo 454 km² gothenburg 447,8 km² "capitol" derp stockholm....6 519 km²

Oslo center is obv smaller than for example other cities like Copenhagen or Stockholm, but it does not change the fact that you are bullshitting and have nothing new to bring. You got rekt, realize it. I had the facts, you say randomly stuff like a little kid. God, I dont want to know your upcoming grade on your bachelor thesis with denial of facts and discussion. Firstly, you lie by claiming that Oslo = Sweden's 10th largest city. Then you lie with the population and deliberately remove 50k from Oslo. Then you claim that the center of Gothenburg is twice as big as Oslo. You are obv a joke, I'm talking facts and disproves it mr.liar. Classic loser, enjoy life

Yes, go to Prague then go to Brno from there it's less than 2 hours to Slovak capital city Bratislava, check out Old Town and Devin Castle, a day should be enough. Then go to High Tatras, alpine mountains with beautiful lakes/tarns or skip Tatras and go to Austria, you're there in a heartbeat from Bratislava. You can even go to Poland. Depends on what you are looking for.

Russians LOVE americans that actually care enough to visit the country Obviously it depends on how you treat their culture but you should be fine. Austria is a great spot for skiing but it's also famous for how beautiful the average city is, they are filled with old houses and the people are among the best

Neapel and Rom. No regrets seeing the coast and cities.
2021-04-08 14:57
tons of Americans travel and live in Russia without any problems. This anti-Americanism is mostly propaganda by the elites to hold into power. 99% of people dont care at all, especially in the center of St. Petersburg which is full of tourists.
2021-04-08 16:47
Fly to Oslo, take a train to Stockholm, boat to Helsinki, ferry to Tallinn and proceed to whichever European countries you'd like. Germany, Poland, Denmark, Hungary, Ukraine, Bulgaria etc. Spend few days in each city.

I'd say Apulia. It's hot, the water is bright blue, there are lots of beautiful small villages to visit and the food is amazing (but that last point is true anywhere in Italy). I'd also recommend going once in your life to a Greek Island but not the very touristic ones like Mykonos or Santorini. I personally went to Naxos 2 years ago and it was, without doubt, one of my best holidays.

Since you are only staying for 5-6 days I would probably choose two cities in two different countries. I like Amsterdam, Budapest is nice, Barcelona is also great Prague too and it is cheap. I'm from Stockholm and I would only really recommend going here in the summer time tbh, even though it is a great city in all seasons it is perfect for a summer weekend (which is the case for many weekend destinations ofc). However most people don't want to go to scandinavia. Maybe Prague and Amsterdam since they have really good flight connections also at Schipol. I would also recommend Berlin, so maybe Berlin and Amsterdam.. I've lived in Dublin for 4 years. Friendly people and great beer, you could spend a few days in Dublin and then take day tour to the west coast.

I would want to go to Scandinavia, obviously going in the middle of winter (the only time I really can go) wouldn't be too bright

Central Europe will fill both of your needs. You'll visit old cities like Prague, Vienna and Budapest but you can be right next to the Alps as well because...well, Austria.

The single most amazing place ive ever been to was Italy, most amazing being rome + u can go to the vatican making it 2 countries in 1 trip (vatican is inside the city of Rome). Every single street had something to see i shit you not. Maybe i felt this way as im from jordan, a country where its just trees in the north and sand everywhere else but damn it was amazing.

Lots of great place in Europe, but I think you could also go back to London since for sure you have not seen everything. I highly suggest not spending time on traveling from place to place and instead focus on one area. But some suggestions: Denmark, Copenhagen and the local area around it. Make sure to use the bikes and public transport is also great - even the trip from the airport is easy. visitdenmark.com/ Germany, Munich would be my pick. Great museums, lots of history and Germans are friendly. muenchen.de/int/en/tourism.html Italy, Florence. So much history and culture, nut it depends on when you're going. Lots of tourists during the summer season. visitflorence.com/ But really I think you'll have a hard time finding a place in Europe that isn't amazing, expect perhaps if you go so far East you hit Russia or some of other the dictatorships there.

As a Canadian, i can tell you that Greece is very overrated. If I had a day to decide I'd rather Italy all day long.Spain and Portugal are pretty cool places to visit especially on summer. If u wanna see some historic places, you can trip to western Turkey, not only Istanbul but Pamukkale and Cappadocia are my suggestions.Scandinavia and middle europe are always good options.
