Hi! I observed some traits about astralis in play-offs:
1. Zonic is often the 1st to quit the game after astralis loose. I think he exist dissaponted, bc he puts heart into the game.
2. Astralis tend to "loose" their quarter final/upper bracket match when they can afford to do it.
3. They probably do this to save strats/get knowledge of their opponent and win in the grand final.
It may not be necessary the case today with Gambit but has anyone else seen this pattern also ? What do you think?

1. All of Astralis should be disappointed after a loss, and I don't see Zonic as the type of person that would "ragequit" after a loss.
2. I can see that in group stage matches that dont matter but not in playoffs, you dont gamble on your second chance because you know that one bad game can then throw you out of the tournament.
3. For the reasons in the second point, you would not save strats on purpose in playoff matches. It is true that you learn about your opponent in these matches and can adapt if you meet again in the same tournament, but you dont actively hold back.

Agreed. Playing furia and Heroic is much easier than potentially playing and losing to Complexity in the semis. Col is looking pretty scary. Kinda obvious from Astralis at this point (they are not showing everything they have to Gambit in this match) and kinda sad that the format has these games where it benefits teams to not do their best.

No they have done that many times before, I've seen them perma ban maps until finals and then blow back the other finalist. I don't think it's the case against Gambit though since they're the favourites of EPL. Right now Astralis is sadly losing fair and square, BUT they can still comback!
