Everyone laughed when he lost to a girl in 1v1 tournament. Even his mom had to comfort him because it was a big blow to his reputation. But who is laughing now?! Heroic better than most teams, cadiaN better leader than anyone expected. HATERS GONNA HATE while he is living the dream. You go Casper!

cadiaN's story is a classic 'throw me to the wolves and I'll come back leading the pack' case.

sometimes management and coaches decide aswell
2021-04-10 22:07

only if the coach has the most power and that is only in vitality and astralis the case

Also in other teams, confirmed for Navi, NiP, VP, Spirit, ENCE, FaZe etc. I'd say its a rule and not an exception for top teams
2021-04-10 22:13
9 replies
in Navi, it's s1mple who would have the last word if he wants to use it. NIP doubly. In Faze Coldzera was the leader without Karrigan you don't know how it is now. But it isn't the coach. Ence it allu always was and always will. he also was IGL after Aleksi Kick where the whole team decide it.
2021-04-10 22:20

Of course teams have leaders but they dont get to decide rosters etc. ENCE is 100% lead by Saw. They even call him "the boss" etc. This was also explicitly confirmed by ENCE when they announced the roster. FaZe it has been stated that the management together with coach etc decides on roster. NiP is 100% ruled by THREAT, this has been stated numerous times and its obvious from the way they work etc. NaVi is 100% B1ade inside the team but its true that s1mple is so big of a star and source of revenue for Navi that he probably has more say overall and could "threaten" them.
2021-04-10 23:03

Allu is part owner of Ence. Do you believe Allu leaves when he doesn't want to? LUL Faze do shit since Faze have a csgo team. Team decision will made by Karrigan and probably Cold since he is the star and wants a strong voice. the coach is the last guy they ask. Threat has only power if the players listen to him. Atm they do but that will change very fast. Forest left so he has no "fear" voice in the team. But that doesn't mean that he can kick a player like he wants. In Astralis nobody would dare to question zonic. Even if he would kick 4 players. Blade doesn't have such a strong voice. I dunno who it was, probably prof who said in HLTV Confirmed that he heard that navi has often issues strategy-wise between Blad3 and the team. And I am sure they will have to decide at one point the team or blad3... Navi is a more or less "free org" with not so much structure. And when you call the CEO and tell him the right arguments he will kick everyone he wants. in Vitality, the CEO made clear the coach decides and he will not change that. The coach is literally the admin of the whole csgo part.
2021-04-10 23:13
Allu literally owns ence and as an owner he's literally allowed to make decisions or influence them heavily
2021-04-11 00:00

Allu owns like 5% of ENCE and you dont have a clue about what you are saying, but if you want I can remind you how shareholders can exercise power based on the Finnish Limited Liabilities Companies Act (624/2006, as amended)?
2021-04-11 00:09

5% is enough to sit at the owners table and make or influence decisions rofl That's why I said what I said
2021-04-11 11:13

"Sit at the owners table" lmao, no. With 5% of the shares you get 5% of the votes and as long as there are larger shareholders like in the case of ENCE you will have the people who actually decide with +40-50% of the votes. Moreover there are almost certainly shareholders agreements written between the owners that might further stipulate on what e.g. allu can or cannot do, or that he has to sell his shares in case he departs etc. This is typical in cases where an athlete owns small portion of the shares. Sure he has some influence for sure but that does not mean he is the boss in the team.
2021-04-11 11:37
2 replies
You think he won't influence the actual shareholders more than his standing permits him to? He's a player and a owner at the same time and can easily influence decisions on a whim if he wants to, it's literally in the owners best interest to listen to allu with his experience, it's not only the 5% that gives his power within ENCE. SADDYX was one of these examples that ENCE (from an outside perspective) did on a whim, they needed a player fast and didn't think anything more of the situation, let him sit on the bench and still get some salary, it ended up as a sad story for SADDYX, a lesser Bubzkji case. You're naive if you think an owner doesn't have more influence on the roster when they're also a player, it makes them semi-invincible to criticism from inside the owners and the owners tend to side with other owners instead of outsiders they pay to do their job.
2021-04-11 12:01
1 reply
yes of course he might be able to influence shareholders and directors and others in ENCE but this discussion was about who decides roster moves etc. within the team and ENCE has specifically said that they are restructuring the team so that the coach has the last say in all of these matters (together with the majority shareholders obviously) and allu has himself confirmed that Saw is the boss in the team right now. Im not interested in speculating how much pull allu has with his reputation, small ownership etc.
2021-04-11 12:58
"Those are the common ways." Imagine thinking the coaches doesnt have a lot more say especially in high tier teams

The org knows without the IGL the team is lost cuz you can't change him just like that. But the coach can you replace in a second.
2021-04-10 23:34
3 replies
The coach is the main motivator on the team, he's the one setting the practise schedule while looking into how every player performs and helping with the overall team strategy. The IGL does not use his time micro managing the players like that nor does he spend time rewatching every player on the teams performance, his job is to focus on the macros and the overall approach in the game. Overall the coach is in a much better position to make calls regarding individuals on the team.
2021-04-10 23:38

Karrigan for example the coach was only there to give high fives. He provides literally nothing to the game. Such a guy can you replace with every fan. In the BIG case now you see the coach replacement is a factor. But still, if you have to decide between tabsen and the coach you would choose tabsen in 100/100 cases. In OG do you think Aleksi would leave when coach says "leave??" nope never. And that is also how the org works... Devilwalk is also a coach you would never give the lead about the team. Navi could kick Blad3 and would find 20 coaches for him. In Vitality, it is hard to find the same kind of coach same about Astralis. You have literally to decide who has more value the player or the coach. and when you look around only in a few teams the coach has more value than the IGL. Who was it?? snappi?? that literally said that niko is the best danish player behind the Astralis core... and he got kicked by cadian who proved only on twitter that he is gay.

You're talking like the IGL and coaches are against each other lol. You think AleksiB has the power to kick any1 from oG including their coach? fuck no, in fact just looking that they picked up niko who Ruggah was previously the coach for should tell you he probably has much more to say in roster changes than AleksiB. and wtf are you talking about with snappi and cadian hahahah cadian literally has a GF, i dont know if you're severely autistic or something. Snappi was kicked since they had 2 IGL's in the team, him and cadiaN, they tried to go back and forth between them calling but in the end it was decided that cadiaN should be the only IGL and snappi had to go.

Actually youre wrong! Wolves get kicked out of the pack all the time! When they are perceived as weak link! Usually the leader kills them! You dont know your wolves!

I forgive you! Its common knowledge! Wolves can always get excluded from the pack! If the leader doesnt kill them they will die anyway! if they dont find a new pack that is! This is a risk common to most animals that live in complex social structures! Cant have a society without inclusion/exclusion! (Packs are mini societies!)

Funny that a website that reports science observation... that wolves are very social and that the image of the "alpha" is wrong... There is a leader but he doesn't need to use violence. Sometimes he helps some times don't. Also a wolve pack is only male and female and the kids that go out of the "house" when they 10-22 months old and make their own "packs". A female wolves makes up to 8 kids per year.... Seems you have no idea about the topic and use some old views from cartoons.

I think youre confused! I never said theyre not social! Theyre incredibly social! That is why they live in complex societies! And often die if they get excluded! There is a clear alpha! More so in captive packs than wild! He does not always use violence! That is obvious! He is usually not challenged! Exclusion can happen without violence! I recommend you read up on the very complex hirearchys wolves live in! Its been studied heavily! There is a clear power structure! And excommunication does occur! Maybe you are not sober?! Youre not making any sense! Nothing you just said contradict what i said! Sleep it off!

I never said anything about the kids leaving! Kids leaving to start their own pack is seperate from pack members getting excommunicated! A wolf can leave a pack for different reasons you know! I also think you are confusing wild and captive packs alot here! Most of what you write only applies to wild wolf packs! Not all wolf packs! Many wolf packs have plenty of adult members!

Basically, he's never been able to prosper fully because pretty much every time he's been a part of a decent team, the team have either dropped him, or the better players have left to a better team therefore he's never really been able to succeed. He essentially picked up the leftovers of what was left of the Danish talent to form this squad. es3tag went to Astralis, Kyaerjbye went to North, k0nfig went to coL. But it's proven to pay off. He's become a good leader that these kids look up to and he gets the best out of them.

Cadian is a true hustler. Never being just good enough to be in the best danish teams, played several roles, helped rogue gain something and then joined the already sinking ship in north. Then in heroic, made several changes including separating with snappi who departed to astralis to IGL. now last year they became the nr.1 team, and now is looking to win this epl vs gambit. All while allowing himself to be made fun of in good faith. having good banter and being a cool guy. loved him as analyst. only to be ridiculed even more bc he got beaten by a girl.

haha that juliano game was legendary. But truth is juliano and zAAz played 1v1 maps almost 24/7 for years. I remember a Gamex event I attended in 2013 where you could duel vs both I think. Both were pretty good aimwise but female teams just lacks organisation and overall flair to combat real pro teams. Also the skill level is too spread out among players in the team. No shame losing that duel, she gave kennyS a good run for the money too and kennyS + shox dominated that event in 2v2

i mean in fairness few expected Heroic to reach the Final of the Pro League even reaching it is a good achievement but being honest i don't see them beating Gambit they just look too strong right now 3-1 Most likely put it this way if they lose Train it's over if they win Train Minimum it will go to the 5th Map but to have any chance of winning this Pro League they need to Take Train
