In post-match interview Cadian said Hunden had it all planned pre-match Hunden showed up at the boot camp a few minutes after the match to celebrate with the team. He needs a haircut

Yes mens but not how mvp award works : hltv.org/stats?event=5553 Look at the event stats , not even remotely close to being MVP. Ax1le bestest performances across 23 maps.

He was the highest rated played of heroic, and was the best player of the final together with shiro. But in the end he won furthermore as igl. I would love to see the playoff stats of the players.

The playoffs stats are the main factor for the MVP. Axile dropped a 2.27 stat in the playoffs.

Thats what i mean, if you had a weaker group which to be fair gambit did in comparison to heroic, how much does his games against team one, c9 and mibr factor in. Even if mibr showed some decent cs, but navi was just bad. So he has at least 4 maps played against tgose teams with 1.5 rating.

I am not sure what do you mean gambit had the weaker teams. Heroic fought Two teams with stand-ins and Renegades. And even got BIG in bad shape, so they have pretty similar overall "Luck" for their groups. Axile destroyed Astralis in the playoffs with 2.27 rating. He had insane peaks in important games. Something cadian couldn't reproduce.

he did what??? that was 1 map hltv.org/stats?startDate=2021-04-01&endD.. this is his rating for playoffs. Ax1le had 1.25 in the playoffs and cadian 1.15 Ax1le deseved it 100%

Maps rating count aswell. HLTV borrows the stats from this exact section. And having 2.27 rating in one map is bonkers. Obviously this kinda of out of the world performance is going to have huge weight.

yeah, I was just correcting you, you said and I quote "Axile destroyed Astralis in the playoffs with 2.27 rating." he destoyed astralis on overpass* with 2.27 or you could say he destroyed astralis with 1.83 just saying your comment creates a false narrative, but I agree Ax1le deserved it

Can you really call it lucky tho? Once, maybe. Twice it's hard to say that it was lucky. Either Gambit has choking issues which I doubt or Heroic are insane mentally
2021-04-12 00:42

Both teams deserved to win those map, for sure, but I can also say that both were lucky in some situations. Train was an example of that: stavn could have won a round when he rushed ivy and Hobbit killed him because of timing; in the same way, Hobbit got unlucky in some rounds when he was holding nade or looking other angle in B However, after all, to be a champion you need skill and lucky, and Heroic had all of those, as did Gambit, though lucky wasn't much on their side

but its not just about finals, its about the whole tournament. im glad axile won it, but i still think the winner of MVP award should always go to someone who won the event.

MVP means most valuable player or best player at the tournament. You can be the most valuable and impactful player but still not win.

no you can't, you can't lose but be the best, stfu the best win, not the guy that lose but had better stats better stats dont mean he played better

The best team wins. Not the best player. If that was the case device was top 1 in 2018 and 2019 over s1mple and zywoo respectively. I don't care about hltv rating that much. I actually watch the demos and make my own judgement off context and other shit. You're just a salty boi

Esports have one thing in common with Physical Sports and that is " the only thing that matters is winning " and this is where trophies come into it imagine being the MVP of a tournament you didn't actually win really insulting to the winning team so MVP should probably be Cadian as they actually won the Pro League not choked in the Final
2021-04-12 00:38
1 reply
Not really insulting tbh. It means that he was the best player at the tournament and you were the best team. You aren't going to win much if you care so much about MVPs. Besides, it's irrelevant what they feel towards a player outperforming them despite winning. As much as I hate saying this, facts don't care about your feelings.

I agree that cadiaN played very good in this finals and his clutch, I'm still having goosebumps... But that still doesn't make him the MVP from the whole tournament ^^
2021-04-11 23:43
in this finals indeed but from the whole tournament ax1le deserved it
2021-04-11 23:46
bump
2021-04-12 00:24
For sure MVP of that final. I haven't felt goosebumps like those since I watched the Boston Major live! But overall tournament MVP goes to Ax1le or sh1ro.
