I reinstall windows every year I do it because i think my pc runs smoother the first months after, but it feels like the little lags/problems and so on increase every time, can this be?

Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
Shouldn't be the case. Installed all drivers?

Yes, but games run provably worse and many are not compatible. I know that Steam is available for Linux, cause a mate of mine ran it cause he was to cheap to get a Windows license.

you don't need to reinstall, just review what programs / apps you don't use anymore and what services are running in the background and uninstall / disable them. if you don't have anything in particular, then it will run the same after reinstalling, so your impression of "running smoother" initially might as well be a placebo.

Especially an SSD. Highly recommended (/s, for those who are mentally disabled and have to have everything spelled out for them).

I think the remark is needed cause many people are not really well versed when it comes to tech.

i use a ssd for win 250gb 70 gb are free to run as fast as possible
2021-04-13 18:41
do NOT defragment SSDs. SSD performance does not depend on memory structure since the access time is constant no matter where different pieces of data are located. you should actually disable automatic defragmentation for SSDs since it will only uselessly wear your SSD.

Runs smoother you mean like mouse feels more responsive etc.? I have win10 too and when the popup to activate win10 appears my mouse feels laggy, seems like i am not the only one with it too tenforums.com/windows-updates-activation..

no, not the mouse. with "smoother" i want to say that the pc feels like its new, its working faster, just everything in general is a lil better. but i think its nonsense
