im usually a really calm guy, all the people i play with usually compliments and thanks me for being so calm and not toxic at all. but recently (past month) ive started getting more aggresive, really tilting when i die, smashing my desk. ofc i try to hide it and i mute most of the time, but idk i really dont wanna be like this.

stop playing for a few days, happened with me too, i started to rage at every death and became toxic to teammates, then quit cs for 1 week and now im feeling fine and only rage when i whiff a spray :D

Idk, listen to music, turn off names and pfp for scoreboards so you dont attach anger towards anyone, if you have rgb turn it all blue since as a colour its supposed to help relax or something dumb, open a window so you have fresh air whilst you play all that stuff Probably doesnt work for everyone but whatever

it's early signs of burnout. you are not enjoying cs as much as you used to and to stay on the level you are playing you have to put a lot of effort. problem is that you don't feel like putting in the hours, it's gotten repetetive and a little bit boring. you want the same satisfaction, but with less work. sadly it's impossible to get more/same with less. my advice is to take a break, 1-2 weeks of no cs or other competetive online game. single players games are fine, but imo it would be better if you didn't play at all. go for a run every other day and do some bodyweight excercises. sleep well and eat healthy. forget about cs for a while. when you come back, it's gonna take 2-3 hours of warmup and couple games to get back into the groove, but you'll feel refreshed, more motivated and patient. it could also be your personal life impacting your mood. one psychological school of thought suggests that rage is actually sadness that you are bottling up inside. the rage does not go away unless you examine the reason for your sadness and try to express it. imo it's a paradox that in modern society keeping your emotions within and not dealing with them is considered as being "manly" and "hard", when in reality opening yourself up and being voulnerable takes much more courage, not to mention how it frees you up from the negative emotions. my advice is that you talk about these feelings with someone who is close to you and you trust. it can be anyone: gf, friend, mom, sibling etc. or even a professional.

i'm sad to hear that. i'm not a psychologist although a large portion of my studies are about psychology and sociology. what i wrote is more based on my personal life experience. even though people are unique individuals, almost everyone has the same basic needs. we just have different ways to fulfil them. as for your personal life, sharing your thoughts with someone is the first step. it might not fix your problems, but it will ease your feelings. i don't know what kind of relationship you have with your family, but for me i know i can always talk to my mom or sister if i need to vent or just have a conversation. if this is something you would not normally do, there is nothing wrong if you'd try to build up a connection like that. i'm sure that your family would be delighted to hear about your life. making friends is much more difficult when you're older. i know it takes courage, but maybe you can start chatting with a friend you play cs with? or look up an old friend from school and catch up with him. one easy trick is to start a new hobby and meet new people that way. anyways sorry if i'm too intruding. i'm hoping my replies are of some use to you. in a situation like this you need to be active and take the first step, but after that it will be easier. take care.

thanks for nice answer, its not intruding. me and my family has had a very rough relationship ever since i was a small kid. its not crazy bad, we can still talk, but we are definitely not close anymore and i prefer not sharing information with them as i regretted it in the past bc the way my mother handled it. im 23 btw. i do have a couple of friends its not like im completely alone, even though ive never had a gf. im just a very introverted person, feelings is a taboo topic for me and friends. ill follow ur advice and stop playing for a while.

I can relate, also recently I have became more toxic, when someone acts a little bit toxic in a match I am going to be so toxic that I didn't even know I could be toxic so much.

Speaking from my experience, it really helped me when i took a break (not from cs, but all games in general.) Usually when i start to feel anxious in-game, I take like a month-long break. While you're not playing, find something you can do in the meantime, i.e. study more, talk to friends, classmates more. At least it's been working like a clock for me so far. I would recommend trying that, just find the willpower to not touch Steam or whatever
