Richard Lewis and Thorin vs. Evil Geniuses
 |
Finland DTeeVee
Richard Lewis and Thorin keep pushing the narrative that the EG org is planning to leave CS:GO. Meanwhile, EG are constantly making new signings and denying what RLewis/Thorin are saying. Who is telling the truth ?

if rl and thorin are saying stuff like that. there is probably some reason to it. imo, they are right. BUT. if i were EG id just keep on hanging on. NA cs has space now.

Why every other day there's a thread about these 2? I'm starting to think that it's one of them creating these threads with alts to stay relevant.

2021-04-16 15:08
Of course Richard Lewis and Thorin are telling the truth They are owning CS:GO scene, EG company particularly, and their plebs are trying to say that they won't make disband out of their bad results, haha Nice try EG, we all know the truth
2021-04-16 15:09
Both could be right at the same time. EG could be thinking about leaving csgo which rlewis and thorin are being told, and at the same time EG are currently still comitted to cs. From what I heard of Rlewis, he is saying that EG are considering leaving/thinking about it, not that they are certified leaving.

They definitely have a better insight than any HLTV user. I can't imagine EG making money with their CSGO team, because C9 at their peak lost $2M year with their team. I hope they stay, but maybe there are rumours behind the scenes?

disingenuous to say its only RL and Thorin when literally Spunj, dekay, RyanatRBM and others have also made reports that they were going to leave cs edit: spunj said it on a hltv confirmed episode

if you havent noticed Thorin especially likes to pull stories out of his ass. His spergy fans like to pretend that he has some "insider" in every team feeding him information when the reality is he's talking out of his ass in the majority of the claims he makes, hence why most of the stuff he says end up not becoming the reality after all.

You know he probably does have connections in the scene after working in it for like two decades
2021-04-16 23:07
They're probably correct, but I doubt EG will leave now that they've actually gotten a good roster.

They will be top 5 easy if Cerq is back. may become a dark horse for the major or one of the contenders.
2021-04-16 23:06
I think the claim was there was a high chance that EG may leave the scene and if this squad continues to underperform so badly they will pull out.

I think EG will finally a strong team again due to the fact they actually got another carry player, that being MICHU, alongside Brehze, rather than having three support players in the same time, which reminds me of fnatic 2.0. The only difference between the old EG and fnatic is that Cerq is a little better that JW, while Brollan and KRIMZ are the only firepower (rifles) in the team, while EG only had Brehze since Ethan left for Valorant, and then they got oBo, who was a support player, while they were supposed to replace the hard carry of that team, that being, of course Ethan. I expect some really good results from EG in the next couple of the tournaments, and if they don't succeed with this lineup, they're screwed.

I know that this has nothing to do with who's right or wrong, I just wanted to say that, in my opinion, EG will do well with this roster and that there's no chance that they will be leaving Counter-Strike any time soon.

lets hope so at least for the sake of brehze as he has been a gem surrounded by shit for the past year

Yeah, especially considering that he played in NA for most of 2020 (to be fair, he didn't really have a choice), because of the butthurt people who were hating on him for being in the HLTV Top 20, which other than the fact that the top 20 medal just stays there on his HLTV profile page, it brings absolutely nothing else. Just because he is a player from NA doesn't undermine the fact that he is trying to carry his team in the best possible way he can, and he will also have MICHU to help him out, which is pretty nice. I am quite happy for EG with the way they are handling things right now.

Right now I think they are top 10, but if Cerq makes a comeback in form they can be minimum top 5 maybe even higher

Don't know why these guys keep being credited so much, they don't know what they're saying and for some reason a few people believe everything they say
