Valve just opened the doors from hell. Now matches will be flooded by cheating 13 yo. Not only because they know there wont be lasting consequences, but also because they see cheaters such as Jamppi and V$M as idols and will want to emulate them. RIP CS:GO 2012-2021

5 years is a big consequence and I don’t think this rule really affects the community scene.

Maybe not even cheated, maybe just used skinchangers, or shared acc with brother who cheated, etc.

2021-04-17 14:26
"Shared acc with a brother who cheated" Oh come the fuck on, when will the CSGO community stop eating this bullshit fed to you by every single scumbag on VACation? It's literally the CSGO version of "my dog ate my homework."

You missed the point. Yes, I complain about cheaters, but Im also complaining when Valve allows cheaters back in the pro scene. If you are happy with this decision from Valve, you should also be happy everytime you encounter a kid cheating in your game, because thats exactly what this decision encourages.

2021-04-17 14:39
no, thats not what that decision encourages. they literally have a 5 year ban from valve sponsored events if they get vac banned the kids who would cheat when theyre like 12-13, like i did, dont think theyre gonna go pro in the future so they dont give a fuck about any bans even if it was a perma ban from valve events it would not matter in the slightest cuz no one at that age thinks theyre gonna become a pro lmao use your brains yes i know this text is a mess but you understand the point

If they cheated themselves, they shouldn't be allowed back. But if they didn't cheat and instead sold their account, they should get a 2 year ban

yeah i think something like this would be a way to go. probably valve has info on where the account has been played from.

i know its a joke but TBH i think this mindset might be CS:GO's downfall. After dota when there was competition between "technically better games" dota, HoN against LoL, i think inclusion was the one thing lol did better. In Dota and HoN scene was more exclusive where as lol was more inclusive. Look the player base now. If that is the way, soon CS:GO will be full of angry old men. Scene needs players to thrive. Don't go to Valorant stay on CS youngsters :) we will learn to behave

fun fact: VAC-banned players will stay VAC-banned, it only affects the fact, that they can play at Majors... if you are some random 13yo hacker getting vac-banned, you probably are not good enough for Majors anyway :)

Yet, we have V$M, who was at some point " a random 13yo hacker", but is in the pro scene now.

yes, 1 in a million... That clearly states that every 13yo hacker will now become pro player, because they can attend majors 5 years after they get vacced :)

1 example is enough to influence the perception that those 13 yo will have. It doesnt matter if they will become pros or not. The problem is that there will be more kids cheating because they still think they can become pro, since there are examples of that. Also, you try to hide your bad arguments behind sarcasm to feel smarter or what?

I'm not trying to hide anything :D I just can't see any connection with this rule change and amount of hackers in the game; for the hackers who will not become pro, nothing has changed...

Kids that felt restrained from hacking because they dream of becoming pro will no longer feel this restriction.

no kid feels this way because of a future pro career, they play the game out of passion not out of thinking they can get a job out of it in the end
2021-04-17 15:19
All those kiddos realise they suck at video games and are so weak that instead of getting gut they get cheats so who cars
