How does it feel to have random foreigners be completely obssesed with your culture to the point of wanting to live in your country just because of some cartoons????

Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
they probably dont care as they have to deal with their 150 hour work week.

Everyone is pretty stupid so lets hope these kids grow out of it. I was extremely stupid in the past even if I believed I had a brain :D

hasnt been true since the 1990s en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_time#Avera.. literally work less on average than people in supposedly proggresive, worker-friendly nations such as canada and new zealand. very few people actually work obscene hours anymore

yes but i dont know the language, only retained some elements of the culture. there are also a lot of japanese immigrants in NA and BR, the ones in BR actually know japanese. the thing is back in WW2 the peruvians were part of the allies for some weird reason so the people decided to fuck the immigrants' lives, who then decided not to teach their children japanese as to not fuck their future. i've even heard of some relatives of mine being sent to concentration camps in NA or something like that.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_Peruvians Their president Alberto Fujimori was Japanese-Peruvian too. His daughter Keiko is running for president now

who wouldn't like to live in Japan ?? high trust society and very safe to live in

its a very isolated society, they have insane work standards to the point where shit like sleeping on the job, spending your entire life in a single company and dying from overwork are astonishingly common. their media is interesting but everything else looks like a nightmare

+1 maybe a nice place to retire in but would not wanna live there if I had to work for a domestic company.
2021-04-18 05:04
i would prefer to live there over any Western country (except a few)

Sure its less degraded then most western countries but the society is boring there. People are are so fucking uptight, social interaction there is a chore

+1 even though there is a lot of interesting things going on there would not ever want to work there. I also haven't even watched anime since being a child so even that doesn't interest me but their food and leisure stuff is cool.

It does make sense. when your life is the worst hell imaginable your means of escapism must be pretty good at least.

I mean. I wouldn't mind that ngl.

The government there has actually recognized this as a problem, and they now make you prove your income before they let you in. Weebs are going there in masses with the idea that they'll be successful in finding a partner and career because they're under the false impression that the Japanese idolize foreigners. It's sad and pathetic. Resentment towards foreigners there is building up rapidly and will peak once the olympics come around.

Japanese society just seems like a mess to me, how the fuck do you get a generation of males who simply don't have an interest in women, its just weird .

I dont blame them. Have you seen the average japenese female? I'd say they are a good 1 point out of 10 lower than the average european girl.

2021-04-18 05:19
lmao, well there are so diamonds in the rough. Still wouldn't they be like "pussy is pussy"
2021-04-18 05:19
dont females also not want to have families and stuff? too focused on their jobs and whatnot

From my outside POV I think japanese society is overly complex and that makes it very hard to make connections. Like how the fuck Im I supposed to be friends with my seniors at my school/workplace if I need to be focused on proper etiquette and distance and how Im I supposed to be friends with my juniors when they are so uptight about respecting me. Combine this with Japanese work mentality and you see why shit like hikikomori or herbivore men happen

yeah the culture there has some pros but the cons are extremely worrying at least from an outside perspective, however it's not THAT bad at least for scholars. I have a close cousin who migrated to Japan at like 7 years old, came back to Peru at 15 (I think). She did just fine over there, has friends who she still talks to and whatnot.

you and i both mens, the only way to find out would be to experience it firsthand. it's mostly half-truths that work both ways (make it seem better or worse). i don't think it's THAT bad according to what my relatives who have lived there say, tho i still wouldn't like to live in japan. 100% would love to have vacations there or smth tho for sure, that'd be awesome, but have to live there especially if it's for the rest of my life instead of only a short-term project (5 years max), fuck no.
