Bank labeled VP as a terrorist organization because of bank statement
Portugal LADY_NINI - HLTV.org
Esports isn’t a strange place for mainstream media and governments all over the world but strange things keep happening, in this case, the sticker money earned Virtus.Pro status as a terrorist organization. Wording is important and tricky. The CEO from VP wrote on their bank statement at the time “Weapon Sticker Sales" and that caused some trouble for the organization. VP’s CEO had to explain to the bank all about CS:GO, tournaments, and sticker money sales, to convince them that they weren’t involved in any kind of shady business. This is a peculiar story that reminds us how new our esports world is, and how the tiny details can make things complicated for us. What do you think? Possibly, imagine the bank employee telling his boss: "Wait, let me tell you about pashaBiceps, his full story" - with tears on the eyes.

It's funny because Valve marketplace is a shady business
2021-04-19 13:47
Well this was a dumb move if you have an oligarch backing your org :p. Banks are wary of those things unless a few paws are greased beforehands of course ^^.
